we actually booked for this hotel and after a very long were looking forward to getting in the room and exploring Edinburgh.
However when we arrived we were told to go to the other hotel near the zoo which was further away and by the time we found
it had no time to go into the city.
hotel was fine
Not the best location for a March (2008) visit to Edinburgh - it was snowing! It's almost a 2 mile walk to the city center and with teenagers and cold weather, that's too far to walk....so hire a small car! Staff could be friendlier but the
hotel was just fine for a one week trip to the old country.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Convenient shopping for bits and bobs just minutes away but for the main attractions you'll need a car.
