Chic, spacious apartments with full kitchens provide an at-home feel
Italian designer furniture, plush bedding and modern amenities make the Fountain Court Apartments – EQ2 popular with both business travelers and families. The six-story building features one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens, spacious rooms, flat-panel televisions and CD players. Wi-Fi Internet access is also provided. Some Fountain Court Apartments – EQ2 apartments include large balconies overlooking the revitalized Canal Quarter area. A landscaped patio provides additional outdoor space.
Fountain Court Apartments - EQ2 Rooms
- 1 bed apartment
- Room offers 1 double bed with Italian designer furniture, contemporary fabrics and fully controllable central heating. Naturally, there's wireless broadband and a rather impressive entertainment system that includes an LCD cable television, superior CD player and TVs in the master and second bedrooms The open plan living spaces include a generous dining area and a kitchen equipped with the latest appliances; most master bedrooms have an ensuite shower room with hi-fi speaker. The bathrooms have a superb multi-position Grohe shower.

- For business, for pleasure, our location could hardly be bettered. With its pretty setting on Union Canal, the peaceful surroundings at EQ2 belie its location in the heart of the city. For those here to work, you'll find many of Edinburgh's biggest companies are within walking distance, including those based in the city's major financial district The Exchange. The Edinburgh International Conference Center is five minutes away. If you're lucky enough to be coming to this beautiful city for a holiday, then EQ2 is handily placed for many of Edinburgh's tourist attractions. The Castle, sitting high above Princes Street, is 15 minutes walk away. Holy rood Palace is a further 15 minutes away, although a walk down the historic Royal Mile on the way is likely to detain you a little longer, thanks to its unique blend of history, bars, cafes, shops and street theatre.

Great location/good price/helpful staff
Our experience at the Fountain Court Apts EQ2 was very pleasant. Our apartment was very lovely, modern, and clean. The location was great, very close to Old Town and within walking distance of just about everything. Several restaurants are right across the canal from the apartment complex, so very convenient. Our 2nd night in the apartment, we had a gas leak in the gas meter. The person in the reception office handled the situation very well, calling the gas company and moving us into another apartment for the remaining 3 nights of our stay. Overall, the experience was very nice and we would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Edinburgh, especially for a longer period of time.

Have stayed here several times
Have stayed here several times - it is a good base for business users. Can seem a bit off the track but in fact centrally located. The location is ideal for a city centre base - no traffic noise and very little pedestrian noise too. Very noisy early morning carpet cleaning in the hallway and being phoned up by reception 5 minutes after the due checkout (making me go back into room I was exiting) were only two niggles. They seem to have stopped leaving breakfast items in the fridge - no great hardship as there are several minmarkets nearby including a Sanisburys and Co-op. Pleasnat, reasonably kitted out, anonymous accomodation near Edinburgh city centre at a reasonable rate (for the UK).
