This hotel was close to the airport

This hotel was close to the airport and a bus stop to the city was right by the front. The buses went every ten minutes and was a good connection to the train station for Glasgow. We couldn't fault the hotel..great breakfast. Our only concern was that we booked for three persons in the room and they would only provide for two people for breakfast. The third member of our party had to pay for their breakfast which was disappointing.

There are lots of nice restaurants in "center city" Edinburgh. Take a bus right outside the hotel, get off at center city and walk about a block to Rose Street which has many restaurants -- Mussels is a good one.

Nice Hotel Near Air Port

We picked this hotel because we had a 6:05 am flight. We were able to leave a 3:15 am wake-up call and the desk put in a back-up just incase. We had a rental car and were able to get to the air port in less than 10 minutes. Good thing we went two hours early because the check-in and security lines were significant.

Nice Hotel, Far from City Centre

This hotel seems pretty typical for a marriott in regards to room size and comfort, which is a good thing. However, this hotel is quite far from the city centre. It is very close to the airport (EDI). There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you right to Waverly Bridge (about a 20-25 minute ride). It runs about every 10 minutes, but the last bus leaves waverly around 12:30AM. So if you are planning on having a late night in the city, you will have to take a cab back (about 14 GBP). I was also really irritated that I had to wait 10-15 for someone to come to the concierge desk so that I could store my bags for the day (I normally wouldn't care, but I was in a bit of a rush). Other than that the service was good. Quick check-in/check-out.

Wonderful! A truly enjoyable experience

There is nothing but praise for this hotel. The staff was friendly, accommodating and when I had to wait an hour for room service order, it was given to me without charge. Checkout was effortless and the taxi was waiting when I came downstairs. Great place to stay. I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone!

Very friendly staff

Hotel was nice but very, very pricey. Restaurant menu was just OK but you could have gotten the same food in the bar for less. Compared to other hotels I stayed in in London Gatwick, this was much nicer.
