Excellent choice
Excellent stay. Room and accommodations were impeccable. I was able to truly relax at the spa, use the fitness center, and enjoy being out in the country and all of the relaxation that comes with it. Staff was incredibly attentive, polite, and helpful. The only downside was it's proximity to the city center. It was about 30min away by bus, but the bus station was right outside of the country club entrance.

Nice hotel with good pool etc.
Nice hotel with good pool etc. The room was perhaps slightly less luxurious than one might have expected but perfectly passable. Taxi's to Edinburgh City Centre are £12-15. Would stay there again.

Excellent hotel with good facilities,
Excellent hotel with good facilities, only 2 criticisms! 1) WIFI - most customer facing industries provide FOC WIFI access, whereas Marriott Dalmahoy charges £15 for 24 hours. Hmmmm.... 2) 1.5 mile running trail circumnavigates half of the golf course but abruptly stops so that you just turn and run back the way you came. If it could be made circular it would be much more enjoyable and also suitable for multiple laps. Other than this the Cocktail Bar is excellent and the Gym is airy and packed with the latest equipment. Good hotel!

Great Staff! Marginal rooms....
The staff were superb, very friendly and ready to help in any way possible. The window of the room we received was facing a maintenance ladder, someone outside was blaring music, amenities others in our party had in their rooms were missing in ours, some lights didn't work. For the price, the room was inadequate. As a note of interest, the hotel is a labyrinth which we never able to navigate well. We entered one elevator that had room numbers beside each button- a block of rooms, including the one we were going to were absent. We literally couldn't get there from "here"! There were buttons in the elevator for floors 1, 2, -2, 3, -3, etc. I never figured that out. Signs leading one to room blocks were completely missing room numbers (again, the one we wanted!) All in all, we would stay again, because of the great staff, and to solve the mystery of the labyrinth.
