Bad all the way around!

Staff was unattentive as best, room was dirty, no amenities (no store in hotel or nearby, no business center, no robe or room amenities, etc.). Couldn't get through to room service and so went through a third party to call in from outside, but they did not have things on the menu.... etc. No currency exchange near hotel.

double bed size a bit small, otherwise a good choice

The staff are the correct amount of friendliness at breakfast time. We did not eat an evening meal as there are great restaurants in North Quay and being smaller than this hotel we experienced a better atmosphere. The room was smaller than we normally get in a 4* and resulted in a smaller bed (we are normal size people). Reception were helpful in locating our return bus to the airport. No big problems here.

business trip an improving hotel?

friendly reception, room allocated on first floor off corridor undergoing refurbishment. Room looked out on to back of hotel flat roof. Dull and uninspiring view with grey outlook and water cascading throughout the night ? from blocked gutters. Room clean and warm. Breakfast good and hearty, despite running out of kippers! Friendly staff lent me an umbrella and offered complimentary coffee in the lounge. Housekeeper obliging in allowing me to stay after check out until 1pm. An improving hotel
