With Derby, Leicester and Nottingham all within a 20-mile radius, Thistle East Midlands Airport is an ideal venue for business meetings and events, especially if you're also bringing people in from other parts of the country and overseas. For the same reason, hotel has also on of the region's most popular wedding venues. For many of the guests at Thistle East Midlands Airport, the location means the difference between a desperate dawn run and a leisurely departure after a good nights sleep. And with the fantastic facilities, a stay at Thistle East Midlands Airport means your holiday can start sooner, and last longer. We have 164 bedrooms, including Executive rooms, and 20 meeting rooms, the largest seating 250 people theatre-style. On-site parking is available at an additional charge (but still less than the airport). But you don't have to be travelling, or on business, to base yourself at Thistle East Midlands Airport. We're handy for Alton Towers and Donington Park - or you can simply relax in our Otium Health & Leisure Club.

Standard Double Room
Our Standard Double rooms have everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Quiet and decorated in warm welcoming colours and fabrics, they all have TV with movie channels and ensuite bathrooms with a bath with shower. Our BT Openzone wireless broadband connection gives you access to your emails and the internet and when you've finished there's a safe to store your laptop.
Standard Twin Room
Our Standard Twin rooms have everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Quiet and decorated in warm welcoming colours and fabrics, they all have TVs with move channels and ensuite bathrooms with a bath with shower. Our BT Openzone wireless broadband connection gives you access to your emails and the internet and there's also a safe in the room to store your laptop.
Family Room
You may not be travelling light these days, but with our Family rooms, you can still stay in comfort. Depending on how many you've got in tow, and how old they are, we can offer you a double and a single, three singles, a double with room for a cot (which we can also supply) . You'll have a well-appointed ensuite bathroom and TV with movie channels. And of course, all the hotel's other facilities are at your disposal.
Deluxe Double Room
All the comforts and amenities of our Standard bedrooms, and then some. Our Deluxe Doubles offer more space for a large double bed and a large work desk; when you've finished checking your emails via our BT Openzone wireless broadband connection, there's a safe where you can store your laptop. In the ensuite bathroom you'll find a bath with shower and complimentary toiletries.
Deluxe Twin Room

Everything's an Extra

Arrived to check in to discover that the hotel was being used by a local airline/travel firm to host a large staff party. Every time my daughter & I needed to go through reception we had to 'run the gauntlet' of party-goers. I thought the fact that breakfast was only available as a £10 per head extra, and that you would be expected to pay £6 for parking (or be pressed to make a charitable donation) was unneccesary and petty. If they want to avoid non-residents using the parking, that's fine - but to charge the residents?? (Especially when so inconvenienced by the party??) We were there just for the night; I was taking my daughter to Nottingham University's Veterinary Campus for their open day, which was only a couple of miles away. The hotel's primary purpose, I imagine, is for inbound/outbound travellers using the East Midlands Airport, which is just down the road.
