The tempting aroma from Butler's restaurant tantalizes your taste buds and you can enjoy your meal out on Cathedral Square. Bar rogue caf bar is great for a lighter bar snack or meal and is popular with the locals.

It's good for the money you pay to stay , apart from that every thing else was very below expectations. The rooms needs proper modernisation and renovation. The carpets were proper dirty and smelt very bad. We stayed 2 nights , just because we got
it for £35 over the Internet, the rooms were proper cold no heating. When I phoned reception to put the heating on , the receptionist said they just put the heating on only in night time after 8. But we're checked in 2pm. 6 hours we stayed in cold. Then there weren't enough milk, coffee or sugar in the room I had to keep asking for it again and again . Receptionist sent us to the restaurant to get some milk and the restaurant waiter sent us back to the reception to get milk. We then decided to get some milk from sainsbury ' s nect door. The staff weren't very welcoming or helpful. There were some hairs on the bed and the toilets smelt funny. We had to buy some room fresher aswell. Other than that the hotel location is perfect. Closer to all local shops and other attractions.
This hotel is really good value. Staff are helpful and dealt with a broken telephone and TV in a timely manner. Good central location with great access to the city and transport. No traffic noise during the night. Facilities were there and bedding
was comfortable. Would use again
The hotel was centrally located but the room wasn't very clean (mildew on shower curtain, hairs in the bathroom, shampoo left from a previous resident). I was disappointed that the wifi is only available in public areas. You get what you pay for,
though, and the price was right on!
I was nicely surprised with the reception area upon entering the hotel, as from outside it looked very old & dirty and knew it would be a hotel which needs refurbishing quite a bit! Staff were very welcoming. Hotel is old and needs a lot of work
however looking past that, my room was clean & tidy, and had no problem with the comfort of my stay. There was a false fire alarm set off at 6am though - apparently steam from a shower set off the alarms?! Should sort that out though as way too sensitive to be set off like that! It was the cheapest hotel I could find close to the town centre but you do pay for what you get! All it needs is some new paint, new carpets, and just a new ensuite would be nice. Very outdated. Overall stay was fine though.
Is in a good position, next to the cathedral, but:
-Room was really shabby, wallpaper peeling from walls, shower dripping all night
-Asked for an iron in room. Told there was an ironing room. Found it and the tiny room had two burnt irons that
-left a shirt in the room after check out. Went back for it at end of the day. Couldn't be found.
-bought breakfast the first morning. Truly inedible
-noisy and no air conditioning.
Booked the internet deal to ensure I had wifi access to enable me to work in the hotel in the am and nights. It wasn't working staff were less than helpful, requested to speak to the manager s/he was unavailable. Ended up only being in the room
from 10pm to 7am as I had to find an alternative venue to work. Staff were very flippant about it not working - "it' never available in rooms and only occasionally in the lobby - its down at the moment and we don't know when it will be working again" I wouldn't have booked.
The hotel appeared to be deliberately being run down. It is desperately in need of repair/facelift. Great location as it's right in the city center. The Wi-Fi is only available in the reception area and not in the rooms. Decor is outdated/drab.
The hotel has a bar but is used by the local wine-Oh's. Also the hotel gives special rates to contractors who traips muddy boots everywhere. You will also find animals in the hotel as they allow pets. This is not a quality hotel and it's clearly evident. It's an embarrasement to Coventry.
