City break spot on.
We stayed midweek and were very impressed with the cleanliness, location and helpfulness of the staff. Really appreciated the room to leave luggage in as we were not travelling home until late afternoon. Loved the en-suite shower, plenty of room and easy to operate. Will definitely return.

Stayed at the Ibis because Hallmark was fully booked up during week of my visit to Carlisle for work... Very reasonable on price, but no free internet access. Still a good deal for price.

In Hotel
Don't stay at hotels near airport unless you have to fro business. They are completely overpriced for the services they provide (or don't provide such free internet.) This comment does not apply to my stay at the Ibis in Carlisle, but to the hotel I am currently at in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
