Excellent location but old clumsy rooms
Excellent location, poor staff, clumsy and very old and dull look inside the hotel. Cheap on toileteries with soap and shampoo dispensers.

Drunks Rule
All in all a tired hotel,as clean as is possible though,Staff efficient rather than friendly. The biggest problem was the huge amount of drinking that spilled out from the bar into the lobby band outside with those drinkers that smoked. Very noisy in the corridors with doors slamming and very loud voices well into the night. Management were not available and night staff could/would not do much if anything. Constant police sirens through the night.

Just doesn't cut it.
We expected something better for the higher price of this hotel in such a nice location, but what we received was torn sheets, ripped towels and moldy bathroom fixtures and an additional higher cost for parking in a less than accessible area. The dinner [additional cost] left a lot to be desired in food taste and service. Holiday Inn main office will be receiving photos of all.

Friendly staff pity about their support
Whilst the staff were always friendly and helpful they were let down by a faulty computer system and badly supervised house keeping.

Good location but beware - side
Good location but beware - side sea view rooms are mostly facing other builldings and do not provide a good sea view. Car parking expensive at £20/night

It was a small but well proportioned
It was a small but well proportioned room with a gorgeous view of the old pier ... Our only concerns were that opening the second glazing of the window was a bit tough and quite noisy (not to be done if your partner is asleep) and the bit of rust on the bath...
