Check-in was OK but I was in a rush to join my conference at 11AM. Shower did not have flexible hose attached and not a lot of power so leads to body contortions. Room was good with seaviews but no safe, minifridge or minibar. Breakfast was good
in lounge with great seaviews. Next day's 9 AM check-out was a little sketchy, printer didn't work, but staff were attentive. I had to come back for my bill after finishing my 2nd day at conference at BIC in PM. Concierge was not manned at 9AM or 16.30h so I wrote bags labels myself, but storage place was secure then and at collection later PM. Towels for rent at indoorpool should have been free. Valet parking means You cannot get to your car unless You ask. Take all you need with you before You leave the car. They get it quickly when You need it back. Alternative NCP CP close by not tried. Hotel at busy central roundabout but room was out toward sea at back with mini-balcony. Walk to BIC 5 min and Pavillion 2 min. OK for conferencers and business.

Elegant landmark perfect town centre
This timeless elegant Victorian landmark hotel is perfectly situated in the absolute centre of Bournemouth directly overlooking the sea and pier, the other side looks over beautiful Westover Gardens and Theatre of the town centre.
Our whole
experience from arrival was worthy of praise. The friendly welcoming reception staff, to the very professional Hotel Manager were all very attentive. Swiftly dealing with a couple of minor issues , proving the quality of the highly effective dynamic management. The management seem determined to make your stay a delight and an hotel you will remember to come back to.
The rooms with high ceilings reminiscent of a previous era, are spacious and bright with great views, excellent quality bed linens guarantee a comfortable welcome stay away from home.
Breakfast at the Royal is a must, there's no better way to start the day than in the bright and airy breakfast room, wandering through the extensive spread of the best buffet in Bournemouth
A new café area overlooking the sea, is a great place to take a light lunch. Taking afternoon cream tea in the gardens to live music is a splendid way to wind down the day ready for evening cocktails and dinner. Oscar's restaurant decoration has preserved the graceful dining style of this magnificent Victorian hotel, providing excellent food and wines commensurate with its surroundings at really affordable prices.
For those requiring exercise, a super well equipped Gym provides a wide range of quality equipment and there's an beautiful inviting indoor pool and café/bar area.
It's difficult to imagine a better hotel recommendation for your stay in Bournemouth.
