Downright Awful
Stinky, smokey smelling room where you sit on edge of bed and daren't take your shoes off. Dirty, dusty and not for the faint hearted. Had to change rooms, corridors smelled of 'weed' according to another guest. Kitchens closed so gave me take-away menus. No milk in room, no hot water for morning shower, other guests received their money back. Should not be open.

Don't go there
We used this hotel for my husband's birthday. We enjoyed Birmingham City, went to the canals, sea life centre and had a great meal at the Bank restaurant. However the hotel was awful. The toilet in our room would not flush, we informed reception they said they would deal with it, no-one ever came to sort it. The room was hot (could'nt open windows because of noisy road). However a staff member managed to provide a fan at 11.00 p.m. The breakfast was appalling for £8.00 each. The dining room was sparsely furnished like an old factory canteen. No extra pillows were provided in the room. The staff we met were pleasant. We complained to the management who said they would pass on our complaints and contact us. We are still waiting for a reply two weeks later. This hotel has three floors and no lift and no porterage. The only plus point was that it had parking. The previous night we stayed in the Holiday Inn at Stratford on Avon which was excellent in every way and only a few pounds cheaper than the Birmingham Hotel, what a difference.
