A warm welcome and traditional hospitality awaits guests at the Plough and Harrow Hotel Birmingham. Built in 1704, originally as a wayside inn, the hotel has over the centuries become steeped in history and is recalled by many as being one of the most popular places to stay in Birmingham during the last few decades. The hotel has recently, returned to private ownership and the owners intend to gradually return it to its historic position as a prominent and sought after hotel in Birmingham. The red brick Victorian architecture of the original building together with the large garden, lawns and plentiful car parking serves to set the Plough & Harrow Hotel apart from other Birmingham hotels. The hotel features 44 comfortable and spacious bedrooms over three floors with most facing the large lawn and garden. The bedrooms offer the following facilities as standard: Large Double Room (5' Bed) or Twin Room (2 single beds), En suite Bathroom with shower, Complimentary Toiletries, Comfortable Duvets, 32inch LCD Televisions with Freeview Channels, Free Internet Access (either hard wired or wireless), Direct Dial Telephone, Complimentary Tea & Coffee Hospitality tray, Room service. All rooms are non smoking and the Hotel offers Free Car Parking. We have 4 sets of adjoining rooms (double room with interconnecting door to a twin room) suitable for families. For families of more than 4 additional children (under 12) can be accommodated by using a fold away bed. In most case each room can accommodate one additional fold away bed although this does restrict seating space within the room. For families with older children or teenagers we recommend that families reserve 2 rooms, and with advance notice at reservation stage, we will do our best to allocate rooms adjacent or close to each other.

Good Business Hotel

Hotel was simple by US standards. Clean and comfortable. Wireless internet was bad so you had to use a cable. Shower water pressure wasn't good. But for the price it was a good hotel.

Friendly and accomodating

We loved our room, quaint, but not for the feeble our room was up a flight of stairs, down a hall, down another flight of stairs, another hall. No valet to carry bags this was a little hard. But the people were friendly, the food was good, and the room was suitable. the real English experience.
