A mixed bag - lovely staff - dirty room

The hotel room was well located and the bed was comfortable. The room had everything we needed. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff go the extra mile to be helpful. My boyfriend and I had a nice and comfortable time. The water was hot and so on. Sadly when we went to leave the hotel the next day when I woke up and had a quick look around the room, I noticed that in the clear light of room that the skirting boards were absolutely filthy! Sorry. However, the bedding and bathroom were clean. Apart from the fact that the room needs a serious clean, I cannot fault the hotel or staff.

Dirty and run down

This hotel whilst cheap is extremely run down and dirty. One of the worst nights sleeps I've ever had. Mattress was basically just sheets on springs. Room was filthy, stained walls, carpets and bed frame. Mould on windows and in shower. Left at 5am due to inability to sleep.

!!

I recently stayed at this hotel with my partner, I have stayed here a few times now and have never had a problem but On the 20/02/15 at 5:50pm I was checking into this hotel and I have never expierenced such rudeness and felt unwelcome I had to wait over 1hour to be giving our room, we was waiting for the women on the desk to sort our problem but it looked like she didn't know what she was Doing she was slow, and as a guest you shouldnt have to wait so long to be giving your room you have paid for in advanced the service should be 100 I will not be visiting this hotel again it's appalling, but over all money wise the price is average in a good location, the rooms could do with a make over and update TVs

Good Value

Generally satisfactory in every respect. Just about worth a three star rating, which made it exceptionally good value for the discounted price that I was charged. The bar also sold some draft beers for only £1.50 per pint during the daytime. Near to bus and rail stations.

Awful

I thought I'd moved into an under performing elderly care home. A once beautiful building has been ruined by under-investment and the wrong choice of cheap finishes. The room was dusty in some obvious places. the bath enamel was badly chipped. The bar wasn't welcoming and had several drunk people sat on their own nursing a drink who looked like they had come in to keep warm. The bar snack menu was basic to say the least. Never again.

horrible

Room wasn't ready when we got there at 6PM!!!! Everything is old and dusty and horrible. Room TV is the size of a grain of rice. Springy beds. Bread all up the stairs. Would not recommend.
