When it comes to staying in a city hotel there are a couple of ways to go. Either you choose budget or boutique. You know what you're getting with both. But that probably means you've made a compromise somewhere along the way. Good news, there is another way. It's absolutely possible to get luxury on a budget. You just need to apply a little creative thinking. Hotel adapted building techniques and technology from around the globe, including Japan, where it's common for hotel rooms to be built off site then stacked and wrapped to compliment their environment. Hotel have brought some of that wisdom to the UK so that building a Bloc takes less than half the time of a traditionally built hotel. That's not all. Hotel commissioned some studies to ask guests exactly what they want. One of the findings was that during short stays guests don't normally unpack their bags, removing the need for excessive storage facilities and desk space. They also told hotel that they prefer not to eat in budget hotels, so hotel build Blocs close to nice restaurants and bars so that they're easy for guests to access them. All of this means significant savings. Savings hotel can pass on, giving you the things you really want from your stay with the hotel. Things like really powerful drench showers, super fast Wi-Fi, luxury linen, state-of-the-art flat screen HD LED TVs, plus fresh locally sourced pastries and Nespresso coffee from self-serve machines. Don't just take the word for it. Hotel called on some expert help from a Scandinavian sleep institute, to help determine exactly what temperature is right for the perfect night's sleep (18 to 20 degrees is the accepted optimum temperature with 40% humidity). The air conditioning technology ensures the environment is just right at all times. Use of specialist sound insulation and noise reduction materials, along with luxurious cotton sheets make the rooms extremely comfortable spaces to be in. There's an Italian tiled wet room and drench shower, which allows perfect temperature control and a water pressure way in excess of industry standards. Then there's your connection to the world outside. Hotel fitted super-fast Wi-Fi, and the latest 32inch inch HD LED flat screen TVs. Let's not forget the bed. Every room has a top of the range king size double mattress with pocket spring geometry. Hotel made it easy to store your luggage underneath as well, with some clever space-saving design. Your sleep haven is then finished off with some multi layered Artemide ambient lighting, ensuring that your stay is a relaxing, comfortable and memorable experience.

Exactly how advertised - Boutique on a Budget

Loved the mood lighting, and the power shower was something else. I only marked the Room Comfort down slightly as I had quite a noisy fan/pump? in the bathroom going all night. But was too tired to care! Only other point - the air was a wee bit drying, you will gallons of water overnight!! Which on the face of it is no bad thing. Very helpful staff who pointed me in the direction of a lovely restaurant so I didn't have too far to walk in the heavy snow. Altogether a very nice experience and will definately go back again.

Lots of lovely Restaurants/takeaways with a very short distance. Try the Paradise Lagoon Caribbean cafe a short distance to the north opposite a large Tesco Metro.

Cool place!

Would recommend this to someone looking for a good place and a nice little room. Bed was very cpmforbale, air con was great. Nice little wet room to get showered in. Only downside for me was that my room didn't have a window. I'd suggest calling the hotel and requesting a room with a window; other than that I'd definitely come back! :)
