lovely hotel
I booked this hotel as a special birthday treat for my friend. We were going to the Odyssey and staying overnight. On arrival we were greeted with very pleasant staff who were very efficient. We were very pleased with the room, very comfortable beds, very clean and very spacious. We were able to relax in comfort until our trip to the Odyssey. The staff were very helpful in ordering our taxis. This was a very comfortable stay and I could not fault it in any way, would definitely book this hotel again.

Room good, food terrible
While in Belfast my wife and I were visiting our son and sightseeing. The room was good, albeit a little small, which I understand is the norm in Europe. If you want access to a computer, you better bring your own, the hotel charges 4 pounds for an hours access. What is even worse, you cannot break it up i.e.; you only use 15 minutes and log out, that is it, you have used your time for the day and unused time is not credited. Finally do not take the breakfast package, the food is horrible and way overpriced. How does $46 sound for 2 breakfast buffets and a cup of tea? Sure it was all you can eat, but 1 time through was enough for my son ( a 20 year old who acn eat like a horse) and I.

The best thing about this hotel was its location, the girl at reception was so rude, tried twice to tell me that I had booked a different type of room and also that I hadn't paid (which I had when I booked it on [...]) in the end I didn't get the double room I had booked, just twin room, it was freezing but when I turned the air conditioning to warm it sounded like it was going to explode! Got a drink at the bar and the glass had dirty lipstick stain on it, it just ruined my trip to a beautiful city, won't be staying there again!

A very peaceful place to stay
I was given very good service by reception, the concierge, cleaning, and dining room staffs. The pool was largee with a good size exercise room. A full service spa was also available in the pool/exercise area. I would stay here again if I ever return to Belfast.

Short walk from hotel
Plenty of nice restaurants and pubs in the blocks around the hotel. Also 1 block away is a very nice cinema complex showing the latest releases.

Great City Location
The Holiday Inn Belfast was within walking distance of City Hall, the Belfast Eye (temporary ferris wheel), many other attractions, and numerous pubs and restaurants for dining. The breakfast buffet on Sunday morning at the Holiday Inn was wonderful, eggs, sausage, fruit, the entire Ulster Breakfast! The room was very comfortable, twin beds, two chairs and a table, windows that open for ventilation, and well-lit (six lights/lamps in the bedroom area!) The bathroom shower was strong and the bath towels were soft and huge. A hot-pot is provided and tea and coffee are in the room.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Wetherspoon Pub (The Bridge House) is around the corner, on Bedford Street and very reasonably priced. We had four meals here, breakfasts, lunch and afternoon snack. But beware, when the bouncers are at the door for the evening pub crowd, they will not let you in with white sneakers on!
