Avoid this hotel like the plague
If the sun is out do not book this hotel. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING. I arrived at the hotel around 7.30pm on a warm May evening. The room was not dissimilar to an oven that had been on for six hours. I looked in desperation for the air con and there was none!. In a second fit of desperation I tried to open the window and guess what – there is a security chain which means you can only open the window 1 inch! I asked for the manager and he obviously couldn’t do anything about the aircon – there is none in any room - and then he couldn’t open the window as he couldn’t find the key to unlock the chain. As I say, if the sun is out avoid avoid avoid.

fantastic weekend break
The hotel was good value for money, staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access into the town centre, would certainly stay at this hotel again

Good Choice
Excellent choice for those who require a room close to airport. Hotel is within walking distance of terminal. Rooms are clean and well appointed, nice restaurant and bar, albeit with airport prices

Beautiful interior, good food

The Thistle hotel in Aberdeen
The Thistle hotel in Aberdeen was generally very good, my room was certainly clean & tidy with good proportions there was good sized phillips flat screen TV, and tea & coffee making facilities, the breakfast was exellent being freshly cooked and pronptly served, a couple of observations that I would like to make firstly there appearred to be a significant amount of flies in around the bar area which was quite off putting, although looking around the place it looked pretty clean, secondly the room I was in was opersite the Shell filling station so was a little noisy. Overall pretty good value
