Basically on a housing estate, nothing round it, nowhere to walk to. Freezing cold room, radiator did not work, no heating in bathroom and window had been left open even with freezing conditions outside. Meals expensive, fish and chips not even up to pub grub standards. Not the 'Hilton" I am used to staying in.

A disgrace bearing the Hilton name.
This inconveniently located hotel is a disgrace bearing the Hilton badge. Despite (mostly) friendly and helpful reception staff there is little else to recommend this tired establishment. For a start, despite being in a quiet residential area they charge for parking - that starts you off in a bad frame of mind! Then the wifi is charged at 15GBP a day - a complete rip off. The rooms are of a totally inconsistent standard, I stayed with them off and on for nearly 2 years and room quality varied from downright filthy to recently modernised. There is no quality standard with this place as you come to expect with other chain hotels. The building is grubby, bar prices extortionate, and noise can be a problem with many of the bedrooms. They seem to rely on functions at the weekends, and these can be noisy if you are not there for that reason and in the wrong room location. Apart from the high prices there is nothing else in common with the Hilton brand, I think the 4 star rating is over optimistic. Some of my visits were better than others, and I did enjoy the breakfasts. They do have an adjoining health club which I did not sample.

Top Five worst hotel stays in 30 years.
I have traveled for 30 years mostly staying at Hilton properties. This was in my worst top 5 stays. Rooms very small, Extremely over priced. Hotel very well worn out. Hard to find location, Food very Poor, Staff was indiffrent. Would never condider staying agian.

Staff were excellent. Hotel in
Staff were excellent. Hotel in very pleasant site on edge of the City. Quiet at night., no traffic noise. Breakfast very good. Overall excellent value for money.

Chambre exiguë : à peine la place
Chambre exiguë : à peine la place de tourner autour du lit ; problème pour poser les valises. Les plus mauvais cocktails que nous ayons bu ! A réserver aux personnes matinales car les oiseaux vous réveillent vers 5 h et crépissent les voitures de fientes, ensuite ce sont les avions qui vous empêchent de dormir...
