Good as a 'base'...
...especially if you are on your own and are keen on going to the beach and exploring Dubai, rather than staying in. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room and fresh tea and bottles of mineral water were supplied daily, free of charge, which for me was important. Clean bed sheets and towels were supplied daily and the room was cleaned regularly. The TV could do with more channels and better-quality reception. The hotel is opposite the tube line, which some people may object to, but there was complete noise isolation, so one hardly notices.

Short walk from hotel
A ten minute walk from Sharaf DG tube station and fifteen minutes to the Mall of the Emirates. It takes ten minutes by tube to get to Dubai Marina.

room was clean, no complaints but it wasn't great either. Economical and clean. I arrived to Dubai earlier then anticipated and was a little annoyed by how slow they were at getting me a early check-in room as I saw one person after another checking-out. Didnt like how it was pretty far from downtown

Just a sleeping place in a good location
The service in the hotel is very low level. I would not give them 3 stars in any case. The only advantage of the hotel is the very good location (close to metro station, Jumeirah palm, Dubai Marina). The rooms are completely empty, there is no even a shelf for clothes. So overall I would say that this hotel is just like a place where you can sleep.

Ibis Hotel Al barsha Dubai
We had no help with our luggage to our rooms. The rooms had no tea facilities, no fridge, no iron. The hotel had confused our booking intially & we were left waiting over an hour in the lobby without any support or even a glass of water. & when the problem was rectified they put my husband and I in a twin bedroom rather than a double room!!!

Ibas, al bersha
Nice hotel good price, great price for Dubai. This is the land of 5-star hotels so its nice to have a less expensive option. Drink prices are high as is the internet conection. This property is surounded by currently empty lots, but the Mall of the Emerates is about a mile walk, or $5 cab ride.
