I enjoyed my stay
My only complaint is the beds both times I stayed there were very firm, to the point I would nearly call it hard. But the room was nice, clean, the staff was wonderful. They were very helpful, helped me set up tours of the city, got me taxi's when needed, I can't complain. Also the bar was great and the mexican restaurant was amazing! I have stayed at this hotel twice while going to and from the States from Afghanistan. I must have went in an off season though, because I only paid about $129 for the night and that included my room service.

Some disappointments
My first experience was as my cab drove up to the front entrance. The driver unloaded my bags, and I could see two employees staring at us from the lobby. Neither moved to help. I stood there for five minutes until one decided to come out to fetch my bags. Not an impressive start. The room was OK, although a bit overpriced even by Dubai standards. The other disappointment was the internet service. We could never get it to work. That wasn't critical for me, but it might be for others. Room service came on time, and the meal was good. The hotel is very close to Terminal 1, and the shuttle service was free. Overall, an OK oasis for a short stay, but I know of other hotels near the airport that are nicer at comparable or even slightly lower rates.

Great hotel that was 2min cab
Great hotel that was 2min cab ride from the airport, which was perfect as we flew in around midnight. Rooms were quite flash and service was great. I have stayed in a few places in Dubai over the years, and this was one of the best.

A brief but very comfortable stay
A brief but very comfortable stay in this ideally situated hotel close to the airport - large room and tastefully decorated. No tea/coffee making facilites but, overall, would highly recommend this hotel.

I expected more. It is convenient
