Nicer than expected
Everything was nice and close to the location I needed. I could not communicate with them over the phone or email to schedule a shuttle but this was solved and was made up in all the other accommodations.

Holiday inn Al Barsha
Freindly clean and well equipped with small rooftop pool area and great views of Burj and Atlantis. Swapped rooms from a Double to 2 x 3/4s with no hassle. 200 yds fro excellent Metro line station and easy walk to Dubai Mall and the snowdome. Good choice of restaurants and a sports bar but drinks as everywhere are expensive. This hotel is excellent VFM and is well above what was expected.

We were so well accommodated having asked for a room with a double bed and one room with two singles we were then given adjoining rooms with a connecting door which was perfect. Also we arrived after an overnight flight and asked if we could have the use of a room. We were put in a two bedroom suite to be able to freshen up and sleep and then were advised when our rooms would be ready. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The position of the hotel is perfect being walking distance from the Mall of the Emirates and the Metro station. The breakfasts were very varied and the one meal we had in the hotel was Italian night and was great value for money. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
