Terrible service for such a place
First, the Internet is NOT free in the hotel. Don’t be fooled by what you read in the room’s description. You have to buy Internet for 20 Dh per hour, and must use it by the end of the same day, other wise you will loose it. But worse is that, even when you pay for it, the connection is unreliable as it gets disrupted repeatedly, making it difficult to do any work from your room. The overall service was NOT any better than their Internet connection. Several times, when we needed something, we would have to wait for a few hours, after calling back a few times and after much frustration, someone would finally show up at our door. Also, the hotel practically robs you at the end. When you check in, you will have to give a few hundreds dirham as a deposit (which I don’t know what for). Then at the check out, you realize they have charged you for some obscene things. In our case, in a few occasions, we had called the house keeping to bring us a couple of fresh towels, because the room service hardly ever replaced the towels for the day. Then at the check out, they had charged us 5 Dh for each towel. Now, read this, there was a scale in the room, which I wanted to use in the last day. Then I realized it didn’t work because its battery was dead. After a call and long wait someone came and replaced the little battery in that scale. At the check out, they had charged us 10 Dh for that battery they had put in their own scale. I wish I could scan and show the final receipt with this review. The check out time is 12 pm for this hotel, but in our last day, the front desk called our room at 9 am, asking why haven’t we checked out yet. For that, we had to make a big argument. We stayed in this hotel for 13 nights. Unfortunately, we had paid for it in advance, and it was non refundable, otherwise we would have changed our hotel. This was our 5th trip to Dubai. The hotel building was about 10 minutes walk from metro station, but the stay was the worst experience we have had in Dubai.
