For the price we paid, the hotel
For the price we paid, the hotel is quite attractive though the location is not the best. Anyway, you have to travel by cab a lot in Dubai as metro is not user friendly in terms of the locations of various tourist attractions. Taxi fare is very reasonable. Overall it is a comfortable stay. One precaution is to hire a public cab but not the one arranged through the front desk as the latter is more expensive.

The air-con is really not functioning

look ,you get what you pay for
look ,you get what you pay for !!!!Clean but very dated needs some work in maintenance, the hotel was convenient , we were able to walk to store and taxies were reasonably prices and convenient, we hired a driver for 4 hours and cost 300 durham he took us everywhere we wanted to go and had some good tips on how to shop. After all your only there to sleep.

The Golden Sands Apartments is
The Golden Sands Apartments is very close to Spinnys (a central grocery store) which is only walking distance. Taxis are constantly outside ready to take you to where-ever you want at any time. Friendly staff at the front desk who will try and help you with whatever you need, from a new hairdryer to getting an assistant to help you zip up your dress!!!! The only real problem i had was slow internet service in the Business area. There should be more computers for patrons, as there are only two in the whole complex, and there was only one elevator working. This was a real let down, however, i was very happy with everything else. I will definitely stay here again next year! thank you.

We had a 4 day stopover at G.S
We had a 4 day stopover at G.S No. 3. The apartment was a studio room with a small balcony o'looking the street. The room was neat with modern kitchenette, washing/dryer and two comfortable dble lounge settees, coffee table, dining table and dresser - the bed was hard but we still slept well. The ensuite was average - only got warm showers. The area is quite and central to Burjuman Mall etc. The hotel has a good tour desk, adequate restaurant/coffee shop o'looking a small pool area. The room service and restaurant/coffee shop food was good and not expensive. There is a small supermarket nearby so you can stock the fridge - note you need to supply your own washing detergent (dont no what a tea towel is) - however daily room service will wash the dishes for you, make bed and tidy up. Overall a very good budget hotel and well located in Bur Dubai.

Great value for money stay, free
Great value for money stay, free bus service to and from beach was excellent. Much quieter than anticipated and very comfortable. Local supermarket easy walk away but not much choice for eating out nearby altho, taxis were easy, safe and very reasonable. Would definitely stay there again or reccomend to friends. Hotel needs to more local information available and improve their website.

Good location, near to Bur Juman
Good location, near to Bur Juman Mall and Metro. However the pool is "tired", not really child friendly. The front desk were efficient but not friendly. We had to request a toaster and the usual free tea/coffee were not replenished until we asked. Overall, its okay, would recommend for a short stay.

A NO NO NO
The staff was very unfriendly. Rooms were smelly and dirty. Towels and sheets were white once but not anymore.
