Great Potential
The Hotel was offered at a great price because it is newly opened and has a few finishing touches to be made particularly in the outside areas. What was good. Excellent staff, Nice rooms with good styling, Nice Facilities, Great price What was bad: Roads around the area are chaotic due to the development, It is impossible to walk anywhere, Hot water was very slow to get hot and took up to 15 minutes of leaving the tap running, Steam Room burnt my legs and needs to be fixed. Overall i would definitely recommend this hotel. I am sure if they are listening they can sort out the couple of issues i mentioned.

nice hotel with good location but hard to reachable because there is some constructions road, for other things it's seems good to me, I recommended this hotel for singles and family.

LOVE this hotel! True 5 star treatment
This was my second time staying here, and I am glad that I made that decision. Seeing that I had stayed there before, the front desk graciously upgraded me to a one-bedroom suite. I almost cried when I had to check out! The restaurants are great (McGettigan's is a fun Irish bar, Author's Lounge and Healy's are sophisticated fun). Staff was all too friendly. The pool is not great - you don't get direct sun - so if this is your primary focus, you might want to think twice. The gym has everything you need to stay fit while traveling. It's more of an adult hotel, I wouldn't recommend if you have kids. All in all, it was a great place, I can't wait to stay there again!

There's a convenience store named "Spinneys" just outside of the hotel that is great for picking up groceries and saving money. The fruit buffet is great!

Excellent with a few short comings
My purpose was to see Dubai and this hotel was close to a few but 20+ kms from others so unless you are renting a car - don't forget your international drivers licence - or can ride the Metro - excellent system by the way and most staff speak good English. Taxis are very reasonable so there are choices. Location wise the only problem was the 30 mins by car or up to an hour by metro and some walking by Metro to get to the sights. The only problem I had with the Bonnington was you paid for your room and everything else was charged extra - my big beef was internet access was an additional 15USD daily.

There are 3 amazing mall I visited and was very impressed - Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall - at the base of Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Marina Mall plus the old city and the Gold Souk.

Simply Fabulous - The pool is the only downside
The hotel is amazing. The amenities are top-notch (including free wifi for a limited period), the bars and restaurants inside of the hotel are great (McGettigans is your good ol' irish Sports Bar, Healy's is fancier) and the location is pretty convenient. The only down-sides are that there aren't very great views from the rooms or the pool area, the pool isn't much to call home about, so if you want a place where you can lay out with the sun beating down on you, choose somewhere else. Otherwise, it's fantastic!

The JLT Metro is very close, but taxis are incredibly cheap in Dubai, so you'll always be able to get to and from the hotel with no issue.
