The stylish rooms at the Grand Millennium Al Wahda Abu Dhabi feature cable TV, a spacious seating area with tables and chairs, a refrigerator and a tea/coffee maker. Each room also has a private bathroom with amenities.
The Al Wahda Abu Dabi also features seven bars and restaurants which serve Asian, Italian and International cuisine prepared by well-known chefs.

Most travellers are spoiled when they visit five star hotels in the UAE because the staff go out of their way to make your visit pleasuable. At the moment, this is not true of this hotel. It looks likes like a five star hotel, but it lacks five star customer service.

My Worst Hotel Experience in the UAE
During the last week I stayed at two 5 star hotels and one 4 star hotel. So far it has been my experience that hotels in the UAE are very customer orientated. Unfortunately, that cannot be said for the Grand Millennium. It was a bad experience that just kept getting worst. It started when my sister requested that the ice pack she carried to keep her medication cool be stored overnight. She was told that someone would be right up to collect the ice packs. Five hours and three additional calls later someone picked up the packs. When we ordered room service, we ordered shrimp cocktail with a rosemary sauce. What we got was mushy shrimp (indication that the seafood was spoiled) with thousands island dressing. When we sent the shrimp back we received an apology and promise that the dish would be taken off of our bill. It wasn't. When my sister went to take a shower, she noticed that the shower gel was half filled and must have been left from the last guest. Not to mention the bathroom had a mildew odor. I was feeling very grateful that we were only booked for one night, however I did decide to get up early to check out. I waited ten minutes for someone to start the process of checking me out and I was the only one waiting. It took over twenty minutes for my car to be found as it was parked by the valet and I was given a ticket. Apparently, I was given the wrong ticket (my ticket number did not match my the number on my keys)and I had to wait an additional five minutes for my driver's license to be copied before they would release my car. All of this I shared with the hotel management and received several "Sorry Madame." There are some great hotels in Abu Dhabi that are truly five star experiences, this isn't one of them.

Short walk from hotel
Food outside the hotel is fairly inexpensive. Both the mall and several restaurants are in walking distance of this hotel. You pay service charges, tax and double the cost of the food when you eat in the hotel. It is certainly worth it if the food is of high quality.

Dry Hotel
The hotel is very comfortable with a nice covered rooftop pool. The only problem is they do not serve any alcoholic drinks. If you want spirits or wine, you need to go to another hotel.
