Dnipro Hotel

Not a high standart Hotel, but for Ukraine conditions ok.

Kudos to the Dnipro hotel staff for immediately setting my mind at ease upon arriving at the hotel - while my luggage languished in Warsaw, having not made the transfer to the final leg of my travel. Polite, gracious English-speaking staff at the reception for starters. An English speaking member of the staff was summoned to Reception and offered to go out and purchase necessary toiletries for me, urging me with genuine concern to relax in my room while he collected what I needed. The receptionist promised to handle any telephone calls from Borispol's Lost & Found when the suitcase finally came in, and to phone the airport if there were any further delays. // The hotel has really eveolved since the Soviet days, its standard rooms still of a modest size, of course, but water pressure and temperature for showering was strong and hot. The main room was eqipped with an excellent temperature control unit and the bed was firm and comfortable. // Breakfast buffet was outstanding and varied - with hot/cold items, savory and sweet items, the coffee tasty and bracing. A very talented jazz pianist played beautiful, famiiar songs, appropriately understated for the morning hours. Location? A two-minute walk to Independence Square, 7-10 minutes to the Metro station. Price: very economical, especially when booked well in advance. Why pay more for another hotel's lobby decor? I very highly recommend the Dnipro Hotel.

Very comfortable and clean and nice and has many close attractions to see and many close restaurants within walking distance

Standard single rooms not meet the requirements of 4-star hotels

The staff was great; the breakfast was very good, but the room itself was not, especially the shower.

The best: the staff (very helpful) and breakfast (a lot of choices and live! music). The rest: the room is ordinary; the shower is extremely uncomfortable: you have to hold the shower handle; the faucet in the sink was spraying us with water any time we wanted to wash our hands.

is a nice European hotel style...but the rooms are so old and the room service try to make the most they can...the reception ladies some are nice some are so nasty......in special the senior ladies ....the nice persons are the young ...well is my impression

I always worry when I use my credit card... And I hate people crowding. The staff could not understand, that when I wanted to do the transaction it was between me and the hotel reception.... And not the hotel hangers on allowed to crowd reception hearing personal information. Breakfast is very nice, and the piano has a nice feel in the morning. The gym is uninviting and a waste of time.It is a old ussr type hotel so don't expect to much. I booked a car to take us to the airport,they charged 310. A unofficial car arrived! And it wasn't until we could not get out luggage into the trunk....Because it was full of tyres ······ then I flagged a regular taxi and paid 200 uae.

For a 4 star hotel it was not 4 star good. By the time they added all the "extras" , the price was doubled from the booking cost. I will not stay there again.

As the title suggests, locaiton is the only highlight in this case. This could not in any case be called a 4-star hotel. The whole hotel stinks of cigarette smoke and the room (and the whole floor) I was staying in has not seen any renovation for the past 30 years. The breakfast was also really poor and absolutely not living up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. Trust me, I have been staying in many hotels in Russia and Ukraine and I must say that this is extremely low value for money.
