Wonderful vacation

The hotel is a gem. The gardens of the hotel give one the feeling of being in a remote paradise. You never get the feeling that you are among hundreds of guests, as the location and orientation of the eight buildings that make up the hotel are situated in a very unobtrusive way. The hotel staff and Pelican Bay Restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The beach amenities included kayaking, snorkeling, and Hobie Cat catamarans, and I wish they had also included paddle boards. The beach is pristine, and the turquoise water is enticing and enthralling.

Wednesdays and Fridays they have all you can buffets, with Lobster fest on Wednesday and Surf and Turk festival on Fridays. Great buffet choices and service. Several evenings they also have live music providing dinner entertainment. Happy hour from 5 to 7 includes two for one drink pricing.

Great find

This is a quiet place (probably because it's not an all-inclusive madhouse), with a great beachfront. The food in the area is expensive, but the lodging was very reasonable.

Don't eat at the restaurant on site-- go to the Grace Bay Club's beach restaurant. Better food there for slightly cheaper.

THE BEST!

We went to many of the expensive hotels for lunch, and dinner. There is no better place in Providenciales than the Royal West Indies. There are two pools, which are not huge but often you have it all to yourself. The layout of the ground are very intimate, feel secluded. Every other night there is live music, and the restaurant is great. Best happy hour on the island, lobster benedict on the weekends. I like to go to quiet places, and have spent 3 of the last 4 years in St. John. With everything right there, and the super chill vibe of the Royal West Indies I will definitely be back. Most relaxing vacation I have ever been on.

Great Stay By All Measures

The buildings are three-story condos with balconies that are for rent at comparatively reasonable rates, the grounds are lush and meticulously maintained, the beach is endless powder white sand, the food is excellent, and the help couldn't be more courteous. I've been all over the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The beach at Grace Bay, the choices of nearby restaurants, and the accommodations make this one of my favorite destinations. The islands here have been totally transformed into a vacationer's delight during the past ten years.

The line of luxury hotels along the main road that tracks Grace Bay offer a selection of quality restaurants that is hard to outdo on almost any other island getaway.

Perfect getaway

2 bedroom suite was very comfortable for us and our 3 teenage children. Kitchen facilities allowed us to stick to our budget yet have a first class vacation in a perfect spot. Available bicycles were a great way to get around the island. Rooms are steps away from beach and pool making this the most relaxing vacation ever.

Incredible Value and Perfect Location

We originally booked at the Alexandria and to our surprise the Royal West Indies Resort was nothing short of paradise. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice and the hotel restaurant was perfect. The gardens were lush and tropical and the beach location was perfect. I highly recommend this place for someone looking for a great value resort that is in Grace Bay- but yet close to everything.

Fantastic Trip!

My husband and I wanted an easy to get to, tropical get away before the holidays in December. We live on the east coast so it was very easy to get to. Turks and Caicos is simply gorgeous. If you are looking for nightlife and shopping, this is not the place for you. If you want quiet, beautiful surroundings with amazing food and people, and a walkable town, then this is your ideal vacation spot. We reserved a studio suite with a kitchenette and an ocean view--perfect for the two of us. The bartenders at the Pelican Bar were friendly and engaging--we shared quite a few laughs. The food was okay but there are great restaurants within walking distance. It is very safe so we could walk comfortably a night. Note--it is a very expensive island so plan for that. The grocery store, while pricey, was a few blocks away. We rode there on the free bikes to pick up groceries. We had dinner at Saura (? can't quite remember the name), a great sushi place 5 minutes away from the hotel (walking). Our best meal--literally ever--was at Coco Bistro, a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The food, ambiance, and service was simply impeccable. The food was simply done yet incredibly fresh and amazing. The tables are in a forest of palm trees--it was beautiful! This on top on the gorgeous stretch of beach that never felt crowded means we will be back!
