Outstanding service, great location

The hotel is nicely located allowing for an easy walk to the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, and the Hagia Sophia. Note that there are no elevators, but the staff handle your luggage. Our elderly mothers were provided a room on the ground floor which was much appreciated. The rooms were very large, clean, and nicely furnished. The minibar includes water, sodas, juices, and beers at no charge. A coffee maker (and tea) are also included. Nice restaurants with good views are located all along the hotel street. Breakfast is included with the room. Local fruits, yoghurt, fresh breads, cereals, cold cuts, fresh juice, and a variety of coffees and tea are provided. Several types of omelets are also made to order. The most outstanding feature of the hotel is the staff. They were extremely helpful and attentive. Private guides and transportation at very reasonable rates can be arranged by the hotel with the cost conveniently added to your hotel bill at checkout. This was our fourth visit to Istanbul. We love the area and will be sure to stay at the Millennium Suites when we return.

Nice Hotel, Great Staff

The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Metro. There are many good restaurants on the same street as well. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The morning breakfast that is included with the room is also very good. I also had the free airport pick up which was very nice. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that it is simply not a 5 star hotel.. No pool, gym or elevator. But the room is nice, clean, with free minibar included...

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Buy the 3 day museum pass since it enables you to skip the long lines at several of the museums. Also don't miss the Dolmabahce Palace... its spectacular and located right on the Bosphorus.

Beautiful experience

We loved this place right in the heart of the old city. We stayed for an entire relaxing week. With only 7 rooms it reminds me of a bed & breakfast. The staff was all so nice and very helpful with tips and suggestions. The breakfast was very good with an interesting assortment of things to try. Plus complimentary Turkish coffee and Turkish beer through out the day. Beautiful!

Best hotel staff I have even dealt with!

The hotel itself is older but very nice. The rooms are large and comfortable. The tub in rm 401 is very high off the ground and challenging to get into, but it works well and is clean. There are a few places where they need some paint or wall paper repair, but over all it is well kept. There is no elevator, but the staff is very willing to help you with your bags. The fridge is kept stocked with free beverages. The breakfast buffet they have every morning s well stocked. It has several bread items, fruits, some cheese, some meat, and many more local items that I'm not sure what they were. There was a cookie my wife loved. They would also custom cook eggs for you and they made fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff is the best asset of the hotel. We had trouble getting our bags from the airline and had difficultly finding where they were due to our lack of Turkish skills. Alper, the manager, got on the phone and was able to track them down. His associate, Taner, also went out of his way with our requests for reservations and directions. At the end of my week long stay, there were no unexpected financial surprises. Everything was as quoted. If you're looking for Four Seasons plushness, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a small, boutique place which has large rooms, is clean and has the most personal service, in a great location, this is the place for you!

Nice Hotel, Friendly Staff, Perhaps a Bit Pricey for What You Get

Pros: Can't beat the location, and staff and owner were extremely friendly and helpful, and gave the experience of staying there a very personal touch. Room was comfortable and hotel was well-maintained. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Cons: Room on the smallish side for the price. Daily cleaning service was okay but inconsistent (not what you'd expect for a hotel at this price level). Bath products and refrigerator were inconsistently replenished. I had expected a little more for the money I paid, but perhaps that's in line with the location. Hotel's biggest pluses are the friendly staff and the location.

Very friendly hotel

Excellent location and very friendly staff who welcomed us with coffee and cake on our arrival. Rooms spacious, comfortable, very clean and quiet. Hotel within walking distance of major cultural attractions and a range of moderately priced good restaurants. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Incredible customer service and location

Our high expectations for this hotel were far surpassed!!! We have traveled around the world and never experienced such wonderful customer service. The staff is beyond help and friendly. We contacted them before our trip for some ideas for Istanbul and how to celebrate my brother's birthday. They sent a variety of suggestions and assisted us with all of our tours when we arrived. They went so far as to call for taxis, when we needed them and go out and negotiate with them to make sure we were treated fairly...and we were. For my brother's birthday, we spent the whole day and evening out. But ten minutes in our room, we get a knock...it is the staff with a birthday cake and candles. The cake was the most delicious cake we have ever tasted. This hotel is also about the perfect location. We were steps away from wonderful restaurants, a five minute walk from the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, and about a 15 walk from the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market. Everything about this hotel is geared to giving you customer service you will not forget. We were greeted by the Managing Partner, the mini bar in our room was filled with water, beer, and sodas...all FREE, everyday you go to breakfast to a feast for your eyes....FREE, the hotel has WiFi....FREE, our transportation to the hotel from the airport...FREE, if you are celebrating a birthday/anniversary they share you celebration with champagne/cake/wine...FREE. Every day, we were assisted with our tours, day excursions, taxi service, even when we wanted to send postcards, the hotel offered to buy the stamps and send them for us. Our trip to Istanbul would have never been the same without the wonderful staff at The Millennium Suites!!!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

You are a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and less than that to wonderful restaurants. The Grand Bazaar is about a 10 to 15 minute walk as well. This hotel is all about LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
