Excellent Location

This hotel is ideally located on a quiet street which is only a 5-10 minute walk from most of the top attractions in ... Sultanahmet. This was invaluable when we needed to go to the hotel between sights to rest or regroup. It was also handy to be so close if you forget something like your wallet or camera. The hotel rooftop is a great place to drink a beer and watch the sunset on the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia.

Fine Hotel

The Sultanhan is a fine property. The front desk staff was helpful beyond that professionally required. A luxury property at ... a reasonable price. The hotel is located in Sultanahmet where most of the historical and cultural attractions are. There is a tram nearly at the door which goes all over the European side of Istanbul, which makes getting away from Sultanahmet's overpriced restaurants easy.

Don't miss the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art. While not as well known as the Anthropological Museum, it has artifacts (beautifully curated) which you can't see in the West, especially carpets.

The Sultanhan Hotel is located in a few minuties walk from virtually all of the major not to be missed sites of Istanbul. It ... is near very good restaurants, the grand market, the spice market and, of course, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The Hotel is very stylish and the rooms are excellent and all comes with a fair price. Brakfast was very good as well. My wife and I prefer smaller interesting hotels rather than the name chains and this was a superb choice ...we would recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.
