Great location
Location on small street with no through traffic (one way in and way out) close to all sites in Euro side and tram one block away to travel to other parts of city. Breakfast selection outstanding and staff more attentive than the best US 4 star hotels. Room with heat turned off was still on the warm side . Can't say this was an economic bargain but their was value for dollars paid.

Not Applicable
Through out the city are small design boutiques selling metal bowls/jewelry/clothing/turkish towels of superior quality than the Grand Bazaar which is really only good for the experience of sight seeing.

Wonderful Istanbul
The Sultanhan Hotel is well located in Sultanahmet, just a block from the tram stop. The roof dining room offers a wonderful view of the city and the Bosporus. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and arranged pick-up for us at Ataturk Airport. I would certainly stay there again.

A good choice with no regrets
Located in the old part of Istanbul, the Sultanhan Hotel is within walking distance of many of the great places to visit such as the Grand Bazaar, the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and more. Great restaurants and shops are just around the corner as well. We were a bit disappointed however that the furnishings of the hotel were old looking and there was no tea or coffee in the room which most hotels offer these days. The breakfast buffet was very good, though. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Istanbul, and the Sultanhan was a good choice.

Excellent location & great service
Hotel was beautiful and quiet, yet within blocks of the historic city sites. One block from the metro rail. Rooms were traditionally decorated and very clean. Bathroom was clean and comfortable. Only complaint we can think of is the bed was on the hard side. Lovely rooftop restaurant with amazing views. Free wireless throughout plus laptop available in lobby. Turkish bath & sauna in premises.

Short walk from hotel
Within blocks of Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc. One block to the metro rail, which took us anywhere we did not want to walk, like the Spice Market & Pera district. Great restaurants on main street 1/2 block away. One block to the metro rail, which took us anywhere we did not want to walk, like the Spice Market & Pera district.

In Kadakoy, close to the ferry dock, Ciya is an extraordinary restaurant with a fascinating street scene and away from the tourist hubbub. Check their website for directions.

Excellent Location
This hotel is ideally located on a quiet street which is only a 5-10 minute walk from most of the top attractions in Sultanahmet. This was invaluable when we needed to go to the hotel between sights to rest or regroup. It was also handy to be so close if you forget something like your wallet or camera. The hotel rooftop is a great place to drink a beer and watch the sunset on the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia.
