Sultan House Hotel Rooms
- Annex appartment
- Annex building has got 4 floor and there are 1 flat in each floor. Each flat has got 2 adjoining rooms. There are private bathroom, 24 hrs hot water, heater, mini refrigator, aircindition, TV and hair dryer in each room. We also provide daily housekeeping. Up to 6 people can accommodate in each room. We don't serve breakfast for our Annex building guest's. It's only room. If you like you can have your breakfast at our main building. It cost 8.00 EUR = 20.00 Liras for per person. There is no lift and no kitchen in this property.

Excellent Accommodation
Very nice hotel, excellent location to all amenities (Blue Mosque & Grand Bazaar on the door step), room we stayed in was excellent and large (501)- better to pay the little extra as basement rooms can be a little small. Staff very friendly and helpful - spoke very good english and happy to help with taxis - routes and tours. Breakfast buffet very good and varied - also makes other dishes on request such as fresh omelettes. Well worth the trip

fantastic location for sightseeing
We were made very welcome from the time we entered the hotel. You are offered tea, coffee the minute you walked in. To see all the sights, just come out of the hotel, turn left and the Blue Mosque is 100mtrs away. The Grand bazarr(?) is about a 15 minute pleasant walk away. T he metro system is second to none and we used it quite a lot. Shopping wise, have a good haggle with the seller.Overall a great holiday.

Sultan House Hotel
Great location. Room pretty small and basic considering this was a a room we paid an upgrade to have. But it was clean and tidy and perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was nice and I think the best thing about this hotel was that the staff were really lovely - so helpful and really nice. Yes, we would recommend staying at this Hotel.

It is a good hotel, clean and tidy. the staff are reasonably nice, they are ready to help if you ask them to, so in general it is a good hotel

If location is your top priority, then the Sultan House is for you. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Our room (in the annex up the street) was dingy, the cleaning staff never came to our room one day and the breakfast was mediocre. Overall: so-so.

Long walk from hotel
Check out the dervish show at the Hodja Pasha Cultural Center. It was very interesting, and not too expensive.

A little gem
Ok the hotel isn't on the same scale as the larger more expensive accomodation in the area but it is not shy on its facilities, free wi-fi always a big plus these days, a comfortable firm bed with ensuite facilities - shower only no bath. TV in the room, providing local TV and a few international channels including BBC World News. Breakfast is a buffet help yourself. The staff are helpful and on hand 24 hours should you have any queries. The hotel is situated five minutes walk from the "Blue Mosque" door to door. The Hagia Sophia is ten minutes walk and the Grand Bazaar is approximately 20 minutes walk if you follow the tourist route shorter if you're prepared to go via the back streets. All in all the hotel is well situated for those on a short break with the main attractions on your door step

Treated like family
The Sultan House staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and offered such a variety of dishes so that, as a vegetarian, I was able to start each day with a nutritious meal. The hotel is on a quiet little street but just a block from the hippodrome and a short walk to everything, and having a drink on the terrace was a great way to end a long day of sightseeing. As a single traveler, I felt completely safe - what a great place to stay.

Long walk from hotel
follow the train tracks so you don't get lost - they go down the hill to Eminonu where the entrance to the spice bazaar is and you can cross the Galata Bridge and head up the hill to the Galata Tower and Iskatel Boulevard. then just go back across the bridge and follow the train tracks to the hippodrome

Excellent hotel - cosy and comfortable
My experience at this hotel was by far the best in a long time. The management and staff were all very accommodating and always at hand to help. I travelled with my 17 month old son for the first time and was very nervous, but staying at this hotel I felt like I was at home! The blue mosque, hippodrome, aya sophia, bascilica cistern and topkapi palace are in walking distance, with the Blue Mosque and hippodrome being the closest. This made getting around very easy. There are lots of excellent restaurants in Sultnahmet and the grand bazaar is also not far - you could easily walk there. I had visited Istanbul about 2 years before and stayed in a different 4 star hotel which was larger - but was disappointed. Although it is a small boutique hotel - this hotel was excellent and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Sultanahmet area.
