Great location and great value
This is not a fancy hotel and it lacks an elevator, but if you don't mind climbing stairs and you would like an unsurpassed view of the Blue Mosque at breakfast at a very reasonable price for Istanbul, this may be the place for you. Great, helpful staff too. One negative point, if you have a lot of heavy baggage, you may not be able to get your taxi to take you to or pick you up at the door, it's a no auto zone. This applies to all hotels in this very central location.

Short walk from hotel
Traffic can be brutal in Istanbul, take the streetcar that stops in front of the hotel, if possible. Can be crowded but they are usually faster than the taxi at busy times of the day.
