This hotel is a nice 3* superior with an ideal location and a great service. The hotel is run on a family style module and guest feel like at home. (JMG 03/08) Romantic Hotel is an old Ottoman stone mansion built at the beginning of the 1900's. It was renewed in 2007 and was named Romantic Hotel Istanbul Officially categorized as a Special category hotel, it's located in the old peninsula of Istanbul, in the neighborhood know as Sultanahmet. It is just steps away from the most significant monuments of ancient imperial Byzantium, such as the splendid Hagia Sophia, Hippodrome and Basilica Cistern and Ottoman masterpieces like Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque.
All rooms are individually decorated. The style is classic and all have different colors. The style of the rooms transports the guest to another period on time. All rooms have parquet floors, mini bar, air condition system, safe box in the room and satellite tv with most of international channels. The windows are double glassed and there are smoke detectors in the room.
The bathrooms are a bit small due the original building but they are extremely clean and have hair dryer.

The location is wonderful, only 2 blocks away from the Blue Mosque. The frontdesk guy who worked during the night shift would lock the front door and get some sleep. So if you arrived at the hotel late (11ish), it would be already closed and you
would have to wait several minutes til he woke up to open the door for you. The rest of the staff was extremely friendly and they were always asking if you needed anything. Overall I liked it.
