Renaissance Polat Istanbul Hotel

As a regular client golden member , you dont get or feel any appreciation even from the top management level when you ask for a late checkout.

Hotel is 35 minute train ride into city (station is 5 minute walk). Cost $1.50 each way. Nice hotel although staff speaks very little English (worst ever had at international Marriotts). Despite being upgraded to club room floor our room was very small and no frills. Staff continued to cut off a/c when we were gone even after a call to front desk asking for them to leave it alone. Disappointed that the corner suite next to us was empty during our entire visit and they refused to upgrade us to a jr suite. 290 nights at Marriott last year = small club room for me.

Convenient to airport, has free shuttle, all modern amenities, full fitness center.

The location of this hotel is just 15 minutes away from the airport. Shuttle busses take you to and from the hotel to the airport every hour during the day and also to two different locations in the city with pick up in the afternoon for free. It has views of the Marmara see, the main building is smoke free and the outsdoor pool side room are for smokers. It offers indoor/outdoor pool, gym and all types of massages. The breakfast is excellent, with views of the sea. It is quite, you can get a good restful sleep

I had to stay here for an overnight flight layover, and looked at all the different options extensively. It was the only one with free airport shuttle and free wifi; the amenities were perfect, the room was excellent, and the waterview just made it the perfect ending to my trip. If I were staying there longer, might not choose this hotel just because it's not downtown within walking distance to the sites, but otherwise, would recommend it without hesitation.

The location of the hotel is great and is quiet. The hotel shuttle to downrown is really usefull and makes the hotel location as ideal. The room service was superb, quick and orderly. The hotel cleanliness is evident togehter with the facilites it has makes it a real five starrs hotel.

We had a overnight stay in Renaissance Polat Hotel Istanbul on our way to India. It is a very good hotel close to the airport but also within a residential area. It was located just by the sea with its own beach and a big swimming pool both open and closed. Everything was very clean. Service was excellent. We have been upgraded and the check out time has been extended without any problems. Breakfast was perfect. Hair salon and the people working were also very impressive. Restaurant prices were on the upper scale but what you get was worth it. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

If you can get a good advance rate very nice hotel & only 10 minutes by taxi from Attaturk Airport. Otherwise can be very expensive.Typical Marriott hotel. Best rooms are viewing over the Marmara sea in the tower

I STAYED BEFORE AT SWISSHOTEL HAD GREAT EXPERIANCE. THOUGH THIS HOTEL WAS THE WORST FAVE STAR I EVER BEEN. SMALL HALL WAYS WITH BAD CARPET SMELL AND POOR VENTILATION. I STAYED AT CLUB ROOM LEVEL. ELEVETORS ARE VERY SLOW. VERY POOR SELECTION OF FOOD AT CLUB ROOM AND BREAKFEST IS STRICTLY IS OVER BY 10-00AM. AFTER THIS NO CHOICE. CLUB ROOM HAVE STRICT ACCONTING POLICY AND THEY MADE YOU SIGN FOR EVERY DRINK YOU HAVE. WE TRIED HOTEL DINING WITH BAD LUCK. THING ADVERTIZED AS STAKE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ONE. BAR WAS NICE THOUGH DRINKS WHERE POOR MIX. WE TRIED TO USE SPA THOUGH IT APPEARS HOTEL HAS LARGE NUMBER OF MEMBERSHIP CLIENTS AND AREA WAS OVERCRAWDED. THE CLEANESS WAS ANOTHER ISSUE AND THE SPA AREA.

Only hotel that did not offer 15% end-of-summer discount - not sure why. Nothing special hotel. Was farther from Airport then I was expecting, especially because free shuttle did not start until 6:30 am - doesn't help our 6:20 flight.
