Recital Hotel

We had announced our late arrival by emailing hotel well in time. When we came in at 22.00, we were told that the hotel was full (obviously our pre-paid room had been re-sold to someone else!), and the staff suggested that we should go to one of their brother-hotels. We said no, and they suddenly had one room, which was ok though it had no separate beds as we had requested. I was given an extra blanket but no linen to sleep in. Breakfast was fine, and also flight check-inn went well from hotel computer and printer. View from our room was depressive (narrow alley full of trash), which effectively diminised the clean and comfortable feeling given by the room itself. So, in summary, 3+, but wouldn´t risk again by arriving late.

The staff were very helpful and even went out of their way to provide me with an eu adaptor for my phone. If i asked for anything else i may have got that also

This hotel is in a good location, very close to the Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque in the old centre of Istanbul. A lot of atractions are within walking distance, and there is a tramway stop at 3 min walk from the hotel as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean (and kept clean during our 5-day stay). Breakfast was good, but not super. It was also possible to get Turkish coffee, instead of the watered-down version they were serving regularly. In all, a very good experience!

The hotel room was excellent, beautiful decor,warm and comfortable much appreciated as very cold snowy weather. The kettle and tea/coffee facilities were an added bonus. Location perfect for all amenities, close to tram and Grand Bazaar and other tourist attractions.

The hotel is in the center of Istanbul, near of te main tourist atracctions that is very important because is easy go around. Near to the hotel you can find tramvay station and good restaurants for enjoy typical turkish food. The room comfort and cleanliness were perfect. I would return without thinking.

The location is great. Just a hundred metres from the main road and tram stop. 10-15 minutes walk from the main attractions (palace, museums, mosques etc). 5 minutes walk to various good restaurants. The hotel itself is small - no special facilities but that didn't affect us as we were out and about every day and evening. There is a nice terrace on the roof. 4 floors of bedrooms - we were on the 3rd floor and it was quiet apart from one night when there was a bit of loud shouting/laughter from the street below (our window might have been slightly open). Excellent airconditioning and a room safe. Breakfast was simple but good. Staff were efficient and friendly when approached, if a little stand-offish at other times. Our only complaint - our room type does not have tea-making facilities, even though we expected from the description that it would have. This was disappointing to find out on arrival - if this is important check this when booking. As it turned out, when challendged about this, the manager offered us room-service tea at no charge. All in all a great little hotel, would recommend it for couples and friends.

We stay here 3 nights and it was nice trip. Hotel is situated into heart of old city of Istanbul. Rooms was very nice and clean. Staff, especially on reception, was very helplfull and friendly. Breakfast was on standard level. So, when you are looking for modern, clean and small hotel in a silent part of heart of IST, book RECITAL. See you soon again.

We have stayed at this hotel for 5 days from 31st may to 5th of june 2012.hotel location is perfect very close to all the main attractions . Only thing i did not like was breakfast.no scrambled eggs or yogurt just 10 types of cheese.if u like to hav good breakfast this hotel is not for u.

The Recital is a great hotel and is very central to downtown Istanbul. The room was spacious and the staff was very hospitable. The issue I had was the lack of a gym. I reserved a room at this hotel specifically because it said it had a gym, but when I got there they said the gym would not be opened until the summer. Other than that, a great hotel.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel. Der Transfer vom Flughafen zum Hotel hat super geklappt. Die Angestellten (Reception, Frühstück, Zimmer)waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. An der Reception haben sie uns auch ein Ticket für die Hagia Sofia bestellt, damit wir nicht so lange anstehen mussten. Die Lage des Hotels war super, ruhig gelegen und doch zentral gelegen.
