Midtown Hotel Istanbul

from pickup at the airport where I wanted 2 hours and had to figure out who will pick me up, even though I arranged it ahead of time and included in the package, to the bad restaurant food and service, to not allowing my nephew to stay with me in a 2 bed room, and even to make coffee for my guide at the room since on one was available at the main lobby coffee bar and the restaurant was also closed at 4pm on the second floor, no Wi Fi in the first room they gave me and had to move me to a different floor and did not believe the Wi Fi was not working until they sent someone to look into it. They were not friendly or nice or smile or say hello unless I made the effort.

Location. Location. Location. That's what this hotel has to offer. The rooms are on the smaller side, but clean and modern. However, with the location you won't be spending that much time in your hotel!

I loved everything about this hotel. The room is good, the staff is perfect, the area is very pleasant and the food is delicious! If I ever go back to Istanbul I will definitely choose Midtown. Just make sure you send them an email to let them know that you are arriving so they can pick you up at the airport.

I stayed in midtown hotel in May. Fantastic location. Walking distance to Taksim square, some great local restaurants nearby. The staff was nice, too.

I've been to Istanbul on numerous occasions, and this is the first time I stayed at Midtown Hotel. It's a small hotel right in the heart of Taksim, near the bus line and in walking distance to the shopping area of Istiklal Street. I was impressed as to how clean and comfortable the room that was furnished to me. I always like to check the bathroom, and it was squeaky clean, especially the bathtub, toilet and sink. The hotel had free coffee or tea, with an electric hot pot in the room with a mini fridge & a large TV & internet service. There are many restaurants on that side of Taksim as well as small speciality shops. Although I did not dine at the hotel, I would recommend this hotel to any person or couple since the price is reasonable, and the staff spoke English fluently. There are small shops across the street where I purchased my own water, fruit and juice for such a cheap price. I slept well at night since I could not hear any loud noise from the outside, and anytime I needed a taxi, the doorman called a cab where the driver had the meter running with a valid price. As a precautionary measure, never take a taxi that does not have a meter - they will charge outrageous prices if you do. Dee from Germany

Ausschlaggebend für unsere Hotelwahl war die geniale Lage des Hotels. Es ist mitten im Herzen von Taksim Square und obwohl es dort eine grosse Baustelle existiert, haben wir von dem ganzen nichts mitbekommen. Die Fenster sind wirklich gut isoliert. Die Einrichtung hat (im Gegensatz zu den Hotels in Sultanahmet) ist modern gehalten. Die Rezeption war durchgehend kompetent und freundlich. Ein einziger Kritikpunkt: Das Reinigungspersonal war durchaus laut und sind auch mal ohne Anklopfen ins Zimmer gestürmt.... Hier sollte man an das "Bitte nicht stören"- Schild denken.

Rezeption sehr hilfsbereit bei diversen Anfragen (Sightseeing, Transfer zu Flughafen, etc.). Frühstück ausreichend, wenn auch sehr "Süßigkeitenlastig". Das Zimmer war in Ordnung und sehr sauber.
