Charming hotel overlooking former Topkapi Palace garden
The Gulhane Park Hotel, housed in one of Istanbul’s historic districts, sits close to some of the city’s most famous attractions. The neighboring park was once the outer garden of Topkapi Palace. The park is open to the public and is a local favorite spot for jogging or walking. Hotel views include the Palace, Gulhane Park, and the Bosphorus strait. Perfect for Istanbul Introduction
We stayed here as part of a four day package. The room was small but could not be faulted on cleanliness or facilities even had we paid twice the price. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful, the buffet breakfast was excellent with a selection of both Western and Turkish cuisine to sample. The hotel could not be better placed for easy access on foot to most of the 'must see' sites in Istanbul. In addition there are also many excellent restaurants within close walking distance of the hotel as well as that of the hotel itself. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided but our experience was that there was just enough for two days. We had been pre-warned and had taken our own tea bags and coffee, If you like milk with your tea or coffee you will need to buy a small carton from the shop across the road (there is a mini-bar fridge so it will keep OK in there)

Short walk from hotel
You really won't have to walk far from the hotel to find a good restaurant to suit your pocket. This is a big plus for me - no driving, no taxis, just a short pleasant walk!

Don't Go There
We paid in full in advance. We showed up in time just to learn that there was no room available for us.They offered a room in a different, much cheaper, hotel that we refused to accept.

Historic Visits
Comfortable Stay
The hotel and the staff were very welcoming and were on hand whenver needed. The internet was awful! Barely able to connect to any websites. The air conditioning is switched on and off centrally but can control the intensity in your room. There was an issue with the lock on our door and staff were often let themselves in thinking we were not there. The free massage offered with our booking is actually a mechanical massage - very disappointing. Was a great location in a quiet sidestreet approx 5-10 minutes walk from SultanAhmed and 2 minutes away from the main tram line. I would come back there again.

A great place to get food is in Aksaray (on the tram line 5 minutes ride away from SultanAhmed)- cheap and traditional unlike the restaurants in SultanAhmed and the surrounding areas which is not value for money

CHARMING PLACE
I stayed in this hotel 4 amazing nights. hotel location is wonderful. hagia sophia and other historical places just 5 min. walking distance.. I liked breakfast because they have many kinds. room was very comfortable you can feel yourself in your home:) hotel staff is very friendly also front office there was a man they called him Bayram.. mr. Bayram is very helpful person. he organized to me bosphorus cruise and he tried to help me for making plan. he is very keen on about this business.. If you wanna come to Istanbul you should stay in this hotel.. thanks for everything HOTEL GULHANEPARK...

My girl friend and me have stayed in Gulhane Park Hotel for 5 nights. It was wonderful. It s so near Blue Mosque, Topkai Palace, Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar and the other famous places. The staffs are very friendly. Especially, i wanna thank to Bayram and Arif. They were so kind.

“LOVELY STAFF!!!”
We liked everything about the hotel the young gentleman in the reception by name of Bayram is a credit to this hotel , he very kindly dealt with all our questions with no problem at all very helpfull. I must give credit to the restaurant staff, they were fantastic ı liked the Gulhane Park hotel very much. He is very well situated in a quiet area , near Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia . The manager and staff are very helpfull and friendly , especially Arif and Bayram thanks guys . The rooms are very clean and the breakfast şs varşous .I really recommend this hotel to anyone

Great Hotel
We stayed at the Gulhane park hotel for 4 nights. It was second trip to Istanbul and this is by far the best hotel we stayed at. It is great value for money,clean and in very good location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend it to enyone who visits İstanbul

I liked modern rooms, everyday cleaning and changing the towels. Hotel has a great location with tram station nearby and within walking to the important city attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern. Last but not least I have to thank to everyone

Expensive with out facilities and this is not a 4 star Hotel
The Hotel room very small and the bed not comfortable, the TV screen very small ( about 19 inch), no bthtub, they don not change dailly the twoels and they do not put shampoo unless you asked them to do so, the view of the room not good,the breakfast they are using the remaing items which not eaten on the previuos days (e,g the egg, cack,..etc) and these items should be dailly changed with new one the massage and fitness room not good even there was offer to give us free massage but noting done i don not beleive that this is a 4 star Hotel it is maximum 2 star hotel
