Galata la bella

We stay 8 days with another couple and we were very pleased with our stay in this hotel. This is a small hotel with few amenities besides a terrace restaurant/bar with beautiful views of the Bosphorus. The rooms were clean and comfortable although ours were smaller than our friends. The bathroom was good and with excellent shower pressure greatly appreciated after walking all day. The location was perfect in Galata at 20 min walking distance to either way of Taksim square or Hagia Sophia but just a block from public transportation (Tunel station, T1 tram). The staff was excellent and very helpful making us feel welcomed to this beautiful city.

The hotel is in a very good location, closer to the nighlife near Galata Tower. The hotel is clean, breakfast is not great but acceptable. We had to ask for toilet paper because they forgot to put a spare roll in the bathroom and, when we came back a fewhours later, they gave us the paper in our hand to carry to the room. IN all it was a positive experience.

near by most of the attaction as well as station that is next by the hotel. if you like to walk, you can get to the old city within 10-15 mints max walking. I really enjoyed staying there and I will consider to stay again

We were looking for a good base, not in the main tourist area nor stuck on the outskirts. Almost by chance we found a great bargain located just across the north side of the Galata bridge, basically on the end of a commercial district. Not an obvious choice perhaps, but this ticked all our boxes. The T1 tram runs 100 metres from the door to all of the main sights on the south side eg Sirkeci station, Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque. A ten minute walk over the amazing Galata bridge gets you in to the Spice Market, Grand Bazaar etc. 50 metres from the front door is the Tunel rail station, which gets you in a couple of minutes up to the Galatas Tower and the Istiklal area for shops clubs etc. A two minute walk along the east bank gets you to a long row of restaurants which are geared towards the cruise liners which dock nearby. Use an Istanbulkart, which you can buy at the nearby Tunel vestibule, on all of the landward transport systems. Not sure about ferries. The hotel has I understand been open for only 9 mths or so, which explains the pleasant modern room decor and facilities inside a refurbished Victorian building. The airconditioned rooms are not large, but are very comfortable and the shower is as good as any I have used. The housekeeping was excellent and the room spotless. Flatscreen TV. Breakfast, included in our rate, is buffet style, well presented and a perfect set up for a day's tourism. A killer selling point is the roof terrace, which has fantastic views south over the Golden Horn, with just about every point of interest laid out in panorama whilst you sip your drink. The beer was reasonably priced. The team are young and try very hard to ensure that you have a good stay. For instance they will not try and ram excursions down your throat, but we took their suggestion of a Bosphorous afternoon cruise which turned out excellent value. Email the hotel and they can arrange pickup from the Ataturk Airport in a minivan. We paid TL60 for this, and used it also going back. .The drivers were very polite and professional. You can do it by Metro from the airport with a change to the T1 tram, but the latter does get very crowded. Bottom line is that we will definitely stay here again if we return to Istanbul. There very few hotels about which we would say this.

Stayed here for a week, and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location is amazing. It's close to the main light rail lines so you can pop into the old city and see the sights with no problems during the day and it's also close to the "Tunnel Subway" so you can pop up to the restaurants and bars in the Tunnel district in the evening. The room itself was comfortable, and clean. The hotel amenities such as the breakfast were better then at most hotels and the rooftop bar is well worth it just for the view of the old city alone. would recommend staying here.

Grat location, close to all sight, attraction and station. Dont expect too much help from the service desk.Quite rude, not very frindly or welcomming. Rooms are small but clean.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, man kommt praktisch überall innerhalb von einigen wenigen Minuten hin und das ohne je ein ÖV benützen zu müssen. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Das Frühstück könnte besser sein. Orangensaft muss standardmässig dabei sein, besonders in einem 4 Stern Hotel und auch Spiegeleier. Zudem sollte das Buffet beschriftet sein, da man nicht immer weis wie sämtliche lokalen Spezialitäten heissen und was drin steckt. Ansonsten sehr gutes Hotel, kann ich nur empfehlen.

Un petit hotel situé dans un petit rue près du Pont Galata. Très bien situé près du tramway pour visiter les sites principaux au pied d'un quartier aux boutiques et restaurants sympas où on peux échapper à la foule de touristes tout en restant central. Le bar/resto sur le toit offre un vue imprenable sur le Corne d' Or et les grandes mosquées. Personnel très accueillant, pret à raconter les coutumes Turques et meme quelques mots de la langue! Merci en particulier à Erbil, Unal et Merva pour votre accueil et votre bonne humeur. On reviendra!

Das Hotel liegt im alten (etwas heruntergekommenen) Handwerkerviertel; Galatabrücke, Straßenbahn in die Altstadt, U-Bahn Tünel in die Fußgängerzone in unmittelbarer Nähe. Mit Metro und Straßenbahn preiswert und gut vom Flughafen Atatürk zu erreichen. Das Hotel ist innen komplett neu renoviert. Frühstück etwas beengt in der Lobby, aber reichlich und gut. Toller Blick von Restaurant/Dachterrasse im 6. Stock. Speisen im Restaurant gut. Zimmer sauber, aber eher klein und ohne gute Aussicht/Balkon. Bad ausreichend groß mit Haarfön, täglich frische Handtücher. Familienzimmer/Dreibettzimmer sehr, sehr klein, im 5. Stock gibt es ein oder zwei größere Familienzimmer (bei Buchung beachten!!!), Personal meist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Klimanlage in den Zimmern wird erst ab Mai angeschaltet. Wir würden wieder dort Station machen und können das Hotel insgesamt empfehlen.

Kattoterassi hotellissa parasta. Sijainti hyvä, nähtävyydet kävelyetäisyyden päässä. Bussi, ratikka ja merotasemat lähellä. Huone tosi kylmä ja vessa vielä kylmempi, onneksi oli ilmalämpöpumppu joka oli käytettävissa silloin kun oli itse paikalla.
