The hotel’s rooftop restaurant -- usually open from June through September -- serves lunch and dinner against a panoramic view of the city. On the hotel’s ground floor, Pasazade Restaurant features recreations of early 19th-century Ottoman houses. The restaurant’s menu focuses on Ottoman cuisine exclusively.

  • A short stroll from Gulhane Park, the Blue Mosque, and other historic sites
  • Pasazade Restaurant serves an all-Ottoman menu
  • Terrace dining with panoramic view of Istanbul
  • Complimentary wireless Internet access and Internet café
Rooms
Erboy Hotel’s 85 rooms welcome guests with traditional furnishings and decor. Curtains and bedspreads are usually decorated with simple floral or plaid prints. Other amenities include satellite television.

Little gem in the heart of Istanbul

The hotel served a scrumptious breakfast every morning, we were spoilt for choice. It is perfectly located within walking distance of all the mosques, palaces and bazaars, oh, and the marina! Loads of little restaurants around. One downside was the hotel charged us 25euros to be fetched from the airport, an absolute rip off, getting a taxi is way cheaper and you pay in Turkish Lira!

We stayed here twice, the second

We stayed here twice, the second time they kindly upgraded us but both rooms were clean, well serviced, and good facilities. Our upgraded room was fantastic being much larger but that is understandable. The staff were exceptional, from the housemaids to reception. Breakfast was a bit slow in coming out and perhaps not a big selection of hot food but adequate. Dinner on the roof was very good and the view was memorable. Location is excellent, you can walk to most tourist destinations and the tram is also close by.

We have stayed here twice in the last few weeks and would do so again. Staff friendly and helpful, even got an upgrade on the second visit. The food is good, breakfast a bit slow in coming out, dinner and drinks on the roof top were excellent, the view is fantastic! Easy walking distance to everything and staff are happy to make arrangements for you.

Very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Maybe i would say the room was a bit small, but it was really cheap too, so i can't complain. I will definitely go back there if i travel to Istanbul again.

Better than expected for the price!

The hotel staff was excellent, pleasant and accommodating. The hotel rooms are small, however, very clean and nice. The location is priceless. The hotel i 10 minutes of walking from The Blue Mosque and most of the important sights to see. The Great Bazaar is 10 minutes away. Hotel's breakfast is great. Also, we met a Taxi driver who spoke perfect English and he gave us a great tour of the city and told us a lot of interesting information about Turkey and Istanbul. He was great. his name is [...] and the phone number (009) 421 92 71. Call him you will not regret!

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Dont forget to bargain about prices. It is cultural and you can cut prices by more than 50%. Do not order fish in the restaurants that they weigh in front of you and anything that doesn't have any prices on the menu. They will rip you off. And do not DO NOT shine your shoes on the street. If they come up to you and start talking RUN!!!

Quite well located, very nice restaurant on the last floor with a great view of the Bosphorus. Room on the small side but ok for a couple of nights. Would recommend it.

A good value

The hotel is very close to the major sites in the Old City. I stayed on the side of the building facing a residential street and it was very quiet, though I could see the other side being louder as the street on that side is busier. The breakfast buffet is very nice, and the staff is fluent in English. There is also free WiFi in all the rooms (they have one router per floor, so there is enough bandwidth). The best part is the hotel's proximity to the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Cistern and the Topapki Palace. They are all within a 5-10 minute walk, and there are restaurants all around, including a very good one on the roof of the hotel.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Go for a nightcap to the bar on the roof. The prices are a little higher than bars in the neighborhood, but they're open until 2am and the view and setting cannot be beat.
