Mixed impressions
I did not like: - Air conditioning is very weak - Water was leaking from bathroom to the room through separating glass - Noises from the street clearly audible - First we got non-city view room even though we booked such, had to wait .5 hour for room change - Breakfast bad: bad bread, bad meats, bad coffee - wifi in the room was very weak and unstable I liked: - nice decor of lobby and rooms - free pool, saunas, gym

Good central hotel better than most
A very central hotel near the main area of Downtown Istanbul. Its one of the best in the area while not of the standard of the Four Seasons it is good. Rooms good breakfast good Staff all round a good 4 star level.One thing to watch the Taxi rank outside I was on 2 occasions tried on. First an overcharge, the meter was doctered, and when in giving a 50 TL note was by a slight of hand was shown a 5TL note and was asked for the difference. The second it was the old 50 TL trick again. On both times I won out. Do not hand a 50 TL note to a taxi. Watch the Taxi at the hotel, they even carry thh hotel sign on some of them ?
