Fabulous Stay!
It looks exactly what is shown in the photo; only better. The room was nicely appointed, spacious enough for two people, everything is clean and the housekeeping great. Bed was a little hard, yet okay.. We had a corner room on the street side which was relatively quiet For the price everything was really fabulous. Breakfast was typical Istanbul: several types of olives, raisins, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, cake, cookies, delicious breads and jellies, a tasty baked cheesy potato dish, wieners, pastries, deviled eggs, apricots, sliced oranges and tomatoes, apples, oranges, coffee, tea, milk and juices in a rooftop setting over looking the sea. . Breakfast starts at 8 and lasts until 10. The hotel is close to all the major attractions, the staff very friendly. We took advantage of a couple of tours, the Bosphorus tour and the Dervish attraction, also a ride from the airport and massages one night. The massages were at the Royal Orca hotel, but we will probably not go back, though it looks like it is a great place for exercising and enjoying the saunas. Spent time at the archaelogical museum, visited Topkapi and the Blue Mosque. We even went to a mall after taking the Bagcilar tram to the outskirts. I brought home some great Turkish towels found in the Grand Bazaar and we ate at a bunch of wonderful restaurants including the Hippodrome right around the corner from our hotel. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. for a fantastic price that included breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel and when we go back, we will stay there again. We had no trouble with locals hawking their wares. Mainly we ignored them, not talking at all and they quickly got the message and went away.

Short walk from hotel
Visit the Hippodrome Restaurant wight around the corner---you will not be disappointed. Don't buy the tourist Turkish teas for sale everywhere. They are awful and taste nothing like what is described on the box. We bought four (apple, strawberry, pineapple and lemon) and left them all there. We did get some teas in the supermarket outside the touristy areas that were palatable.

Enjoyed our stay
This hotel is located in the heart of Sultanahmet, where all the major historical attractions such as the Blue Mosque are located. Our room was tiny but comfortable. Breakfast was a meal to look forward to. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great Little Spot
My experience here was quite good. The staff was friendly and very helpful in helping you to access the tourist sites in the area. I had a nice seaside room with a balcony, that would have made for great morning/evening relaxation in the warmer months. For 20 Euros, there is a shuttle that will take you to the airport. Three things to consider there is no elevator though again the staff will help you get your bags up the stairs; Wifi did not work in my 2nd floor room but was excellent in the lobby. The ceiling in the bath/shower is low and if you are tall you will either have to take a bath or stoop to take a shower. If I return to Istanbul, I will stay there again.
