Ares Hotel is a very special boutique hotel located right at the heart of Sultanahmet and the hotel enjoys a spectacular and unique panorama, a rare one in the world.
Please note that property has private airport pick up service for hotel guests. From Ataturk airport to Ares Hotel the fee for this service 30 euro one way for both way 50 euro. The hotel also provides barbecue area, dry cleaning, lobby and reception. Parking facilities - at cost of 13 euro a night.

Fantastic Stay
I found Ares hotel accidentally but it was a great surprise when me and my friend came here. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.Especially Thanks to Mr AYHAN. He help us very much. You can get very useful suggestions about any activity in Istanbul from him. The most important thing about the hotel is that its location is perfect. You can reach any object of interest (Hagia Sophia, Cystern, Topkapi palace, Blue Mosque, etc.) on foot. The food is just wonderful, Lets try the ARES!!!

Great choice: perfect location, attentive service
From the owner to each staffer, the folks at Ares Hotel want to make your stay comfortable. Clearly they take great pride in the place and their work. The lobby and hallways look brand new. The hotel is literally a minute or two walk to the Hagia Sophia. It's amidst dozens of restaurants with $10-15 entrees (including its in-house "Hotel Palmiye Restaurant", with a cafe out front, a 1st-floor and an outdoor rooftop restaurant with great views). The owner offered to show me a couple rooms and gave me a choice. It's the smallest room/bed/shower I've ever been in, but certainly adequate for one person. Plenty of outlets for charging computer and phone (bring adaptor, of course). The AC worked fine, and could be beeped up and down a few degrees from bed with a remote control. I was on the 4th floor overlooking the busy pedestrian-only alley in front of the hotel, and noise wasn't a problem. There were a couple mothballs in the sink, apparently to keep any bugs in check, but it's easy enough to close the bathroom door if you happen not to like that aroma. A previous guest's hairs were on the throw pillow on my bed each day, but everything else was immaculate, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

You'll be approached and followed dozens of times a day by smiling guys outside their restaurants or carpet stores. I tried talking and walking, stopping and talking, shaking the inevitable extended hand, ignoring the hand, ignoring the guy. Unless you want to spend your vacation buying stuff, no evasive tactic is very satisfying, as you'll illicit a string of "excuse me! Excuse ME!" and "what, you can't shake my hand?" comments if you ignore them. But that's probably the best response, according to a couple locals I asked. That said, I had to admit it was an annoying constant to an otherwise wonderful stay in the Saltanahmet area.

Erinomaisella sijainnilla keskeisiin nähtävyyksiin nähden varustettu pienehkö ja vieraanvarainen hotelli. Henkilökunta oma-aloitteisesti ehdotti ensimmäisen yön jälkeen huoneen vaihtoa ylempään kerrokseen ja pois useita kertoja päivässä toistuvien rukoushuutojen ulottumattomiin. Hotelliin saapuessamme juotiin ensimmäisenä kupit teetä henkilökunnan kanssa ja juteltiin niitä näitä. Aamiainen varsin vaatimaton, johon erikseen täytyi pyytää tuoremehua.

bon rapport qualité-prix
à part une chambre au premier étage "borgne" , le reste de l'hôtel est super bien situé, pas de grandes chambres, personnel très sympa et restaurant excellent, avec de la bonne musique! à recommander...

Gutes Stadthotel
+ Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und während des Aufenthalts waren alle Angestellten sehr entgegenkommend. Die Zimmer sind klein aber sauber und der Zimmerservice kam jeden Tag. - Das Bad ist sehr klein und es gibt leider kaum Ablage-/ Aufhängemöglichkeiten (z.B. Haken für Handtücher).

Viele der bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten (Hagia Sophia, Blaue Moschee) liegen sozusagen um die Ecke (ca. 2 bis 5 Minuten Fussweg). Für die weiter entfernten gibt es die Tram- Haltestelle in ca. 3 Minuten Entfernung.
