Couldn't ask for a better location to scout old city on foot. Hotel on pedestrian street lined with sidewalk restaurants festooned in carpets and cushiins. Room small but clean with good bathroom facilities. Helpful staff, airport shuttle,
breakfast included, wifi. Good value
the location of the hotel compensated to a great extent on the shortcomings. these included:
1/ the fact that there are stray cats around the tables in the outer seating area, and on some occasion inside.
2/ stained duvets with no covers (at
arrival) , although the friendly staff were happy to provide covers which 'we' had to put on ourselves.
3/ rooms are tiny.
4/ noisy until midnight.
staff did offer their best.
we stayed in two triples, as a family. hotel staff were great and helpful. They told us they would try to get us early breakfast (we had to catch a flight) - but it didn't work out. They brought all our stuff into hotel.
BUT, the corner rooms were
very loud till 2 am. Worth asking for room not on the street.
The location was great.
Recently stayed at this hotel for a long weekend break in Istanbul. Excellent location + very central to visit all of the main tourist attractions in the Sultanahmet area. Attractions such as Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace, Grand bazaar are all 10
mins walking distance. The sea + boat area where the Spice bazaar is again 10 mins. Lots of things to help a tourist and if you gt too tired the tram station is 2 mins away. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean albeit quite a few are very small (but for the price you pay it is well worth it)
This hotel is in the ideal place for visiting the tourist sites - most are just a short walk away. It is in the heart of a restaurant area and has a very good restaurant itself (with a discount for guests).
The room was small but perfectly
adequate for us. There was no working air conditioning so sometimes it did get a bit too warm in the room. Also, there is a night club playing music nearby every night, though that was not as disturbing as you might expect.
The staff were always friendly and helpful. They have a travel agency as well that could arrange trips for you, though we only asked for the shuttle bus to the airport at the end of our stay.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
We tried walking further afield for evening dinners but found that the best restaurants were the ones in the narrow streets very close to the hotel, including the hotel itself.
