good because of the staff wilingness to help
The cost was over the top for a room. other sites had the same location for less. Breakfast should have been included. The toilet clogged. Water pressure was low.One had to pay for everything.Location is good. Native Trini breakfast/food should be available to visitors. One must taste the local food to understand the country's culture. Too American in an international setting.The music at night was great, pool great, breakfast fantastic but costly.

My Trip was interesting
Trinidad has to be navigated. TT $ and USD HOTEl should have been rated 3 or 4 The service was excellent. I was compensated for a hole in the feathered comforter, the faucet that had issues and the ice machine that was not working. The concierge magnificent as well as Julian the manager I received a free spa treatment as a compensation which was extraordinary. Caribbean Airline flight was good especially with the electronic ticketing smooth egress through security and such. Overall a decent trip

Short drive from hotel
Pitch Lake and Tobago. Tobago must be flown to rather than the boat. Stand by on airline is safe. I had a friend thank God. My accent led to many pre assumption including "tourist"

Hotel is perfect for every member of your family and friends.
very courteous and well-mannered staff from the entrance to the check in desks. The amenities are central and well-organized. Everything were in placed and easy to manouver. Obtaining information about the surroundings for example, sightseeing, restaurants were clearly stated and documented in the room's booklets. The hotel and surroundings were impeccable. They also welcome any visiting guests and showed extended courtesy. Thanks to all at the hotel for making my stay feel like home away from home. Keep up the good work!

Short walk from hotel
You don't need an escort nor a guide. Just exit the hotel and everything in the city presents itself. Just walk and explore. Ride the buses,the maxis,the water taxis,cabs and enjoy the location.

personal weekend vacation
Pros: My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. The room was very clean and updated, and everything was as expected. I did like the shower arrangement. The shower was the room devider with smoked glass on 3 sides. The bed was comfortable. only possible complain was the body pillow could have been slightly larger and softer but that is nit-pic'ing. The hotel is on the water and the Gulf can be very relaxing. Con's: The hyatt was very nice and is probably one of the best hotels in Trinidad. While I expected a quality 5 star hotel, I feel it was only a 4 star hotel. This is sometimes common in countries outside of the US, but still very nice. For Trinidad it was a little pricey but not too much so.

The hotel does not attract a "nightlife" type of crowd. Friends getting together for drinks yes but not a party type atmosphere

Not Ideal Vacation, Best spot on Island
I stayed at the Hyatt last Christmas ,The stay was pleasant, I am a native to the Island but have lived in the US for the past 13 years.Upon returning to the island after so long. The Hyatt was a pleasant site ,situated in the perfect spot,Wonderful ocean views from our bedroom every morning, You can see the ferry that goes to Tobage from the hotel window.Hotel gym is average, Staff needs more knowledge of the island.No one knows where anything is .I was able to find places by memory and a map.Food at the hotel is over priced .

Lots of places to dine out ,Hotel food is over priced at Hyatt,Movie towne shopping center is close by with a short drive,However dining at the hotel and looking at the view is amazing for a romantic night if you prefer.Pool at hotel is nice but beware of kids,Only one pool that everyone shares.Shower/Toilet in room is see through glass with the middle frosted so if you are not comfortable with the person you are staying with you will be because they can see you from the bed.

Wonderful experience
This hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff was very hospitable and helpful, the view was amazing. We especially enjoyed the terrace and the inifinity pool areas. Food was great. It was not walking distance to other restaurants but staff made sure we had whatever transportation we needed and let us know fares in advance. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Great hotel for vocation
I spent seven days over the Christmas holidays in Trinidad at the Hyatt hotel. It was a great experience. I am already making plans for next Christmas. The hotel was beautiful, the ocean view was fantastic, the swimming pool looking over the ocean view was great. The food was excellent and the hotel workers was very friendly. Excellent choice for anyone wanting a fantastic stay.
