Woraburi Phuket Resort & Spa

My wife and I stayed at the Woraburi from 12/31/11 to 1/2/12. The room cost averaged $200/night. Unfortunately, our stay included a mandatory new years eve dinner that was an additional $150/person. We would have been glad to pay for this dinner if the food had been decent or if there was an open bar (like a standard NYE dinner). The location is good because it's right on Karon Beach close to street shops and within walking distance to a few restaurants. This is pretty much the only redeeming quality of this hotel. The room was spacious but kind of old and dingy. The beds were hard, there was no clock in the room, and the TV looked like it was 20 years old. Our reservation indicated that we would have a choice between 2 twins or a king size bed, but when we got there, we were stuck with 2 twins. Also, we made a specific reservation that included breakfast but they kept insisting that we did not. It was only when we showed them a printout of our reservation that they believed us (anyway the breakfast sucked). Overall, the hotel was kind of dirty and old. A lot of the hotels on the same street seemed a lot nicer (Movenpick, Ramada, Hilton). If you can't afford one of those, you might want to stay a little inland. The beach would still be accessible. Overall, the staff seemed disinterested and incompetent. Hardly anyone spoke decent english and of the ones who did, it seemed like they only wanted to tell us things that would result in the least amount of work to them.

This hotel was fine. While the room was a pretty good value they will rip you off by nickle and diming you for all the extras. This is the only place in I have stayed in Thailand without free wifi. And they want to charge 100 baht an hour in their little internet cafe. Umm no. And a 300 baht breakfast per person is also nuts. Just charge a reasonable rate for these things so i dont have to go searching outside the hotel. Other than that the room was comfortable and the staff was attentive.

good location , nice pool and very clean

The hotel was pretty good but a bit too far away from any hustle and bustle. Great if you just want to rest and do nothing before moving on to Patong where all the action is. I also think the staff should be a little better at speaking and understanding English, sometimes a little diffucult to get things across to them.

This hotel is in a great location, just across the road from the beach, which was nice. Also, right next door are some markets, selling beach gear and trinkets to the tourists, which was very useful. The markets were quite large, with a good selection of items at very competitive prices. The markets also offered snack and drinks, with views of the sunset over the water, at very reasonable prices. The hotel itself had good facilities and the staff seemed very friendly. The pool was nice and the room was a good size. The resort is very large, and our room was located at the back of the complex, so it would have been about 100 metre walk from our room to reception. We wanted to come back to this resort but it was fully booked. I would recommend this resort to people wanting good value for money, who want to stay close to the beach.

This is an excellent hotel for the price we paid on line it was very good value. the rooms are big and well set up, all rooms have a deck or balcony. The ground floor rooms have there own pool access. It is across the road from the beach and close to the main part of town so there are plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. I would stay here again.

Hotel abgewohnt , Personal spricht schlecht Englisch , dafür gut Russisch ! 90% der Gäste Russen , die wie mann sie kennt sich über alle Regeln hinwegsetzen ,zb.Essen und Trinken vom Frühstück mitnahmen und das Personal kein durchsetzungsvermögen hatte das zu unterbinden . Thailand wunderschön aber mit den Russen unmöglich ! aber die hand die einem Füttert die beisst man nicht ! Da die Russen ganze Hotels für 10 Jahre gekauft haben, (haben wir unten erfahren )ist Phuket für die nächsten Jahre zu vergessen ! Schade ....

Cet hotel mériterait des travaux de rénovation. La plage parfaite si elle était entretenue et débarassée de détritus en tous genre. Importante clientele russe difficile à supporter. Phuket souffre d'un tourisme important et non respectueux, dommage ! Ne mérite pas les 4 étoiles.

Clients de l'hotel peu courtois et inélégants pour ne pas dire plus. Au retour nous avons oublié un sac à l'hotel, un taxi nous l'a apporté à l'aéroport nous avons règlé 1300 BHT et le responsable de l'hotel en le fouillant à prélevé sur mon compte avec ma CB 35,96 euros, donc nous avons payé 2 fois. Pas très honnête ! Phuket est devenu une destination victime de son succès, dommage.

Chambres pas assez isolées donc on entendait tout ce qui se passer dans les chambres voisines. Hotel pas très récent apparemment car l'état du bâtiment n'est pas très bien. Petit déjeuner très médiocre.
