Tropical Resort

From outside the hotel looks just worth the $30 USD we payed per night, but once we got inside the room the outlook was much better. The room was spacious, clean, with a modern (kind of tacky, tough) design, a large standing bath tub, dvd player, kettle and fridge.... Many amenitiesthat more than compensate for the outside looks and the not so convenient location (there is just one street between the hotel and the beach, but it is necessary to go around the Club Med -right in front of the hotel- to get to the beautiful Kata beach)

The hotel is ideally located in Kata Beach, 5 minutes from the beach and right near restaurants and bars for a relaxing stroll in the evenings. Large spacious rooms well mainatined and cleaned everyday. The bed was a bit hard but the staff added a top mattress and that made it so much more comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful although the reception staff didn't seem to understand much - the rest of the staff were faultless. A lovely pool, large balcony with glimpses of the sea between the trees - perfect.

Really enjoyed the stay at Tropical Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Staying on Christmas Eve as a single traveler and being required to pay for a Christmas Gala was a little ridiculous, though; it was expensive and not worth $90 USD. This was the only down side to staying at the hotel.

Comfortable stay, friendly staff, very close to the beach and restaurants. Large room for the price, comfortable bed.

Fantastic in every respect - didn't want to come home! A good buffet breakfast too, which wasn't anticipated. There is also a free shuttle to Patong at 6pm every evening, if you fancy a big night out! :-)

Nice hotel with very nice rooms and the pool. The restaurant could do with a bit of improvement, better to eat out. Staff are helpful but the language barrier is obvious. In such a tourist orientated place better English is a must for staff and it will go a long way to improving the overall stay.

Lovely boutique Hotel, very modern clean rooms. Bathrooms could do with a bit more privacy, we had teenagers sharing who were not happy with the openness of the bathroom area. Close to lots of bars and restaurants with plenty of shopping available. Beach was about 5/10 mins. walk with sunbeds available for hire. Bars on beach to buy drinks and easy access to nice restaurants for an easy lunch out of the sun but still looking out to sea. We hired kayaks THB200. for an hour and this was great fun. Scuba and snorkelling is readily available at the beach too. We will definitely come back we loved the Hotel and the area. Our only negative is that we paid extra for breakfast at THB43. per person x 5 this turned out to be our most expensive meal of the day and really wasn't worth it.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Das Personal ist besonders freundlich und hilfreich. Sehr romantische Ausstattung mit orientalischem Touch. Sehr sauber.

Un accueil médiocre, en cause ne parle ni Français ni Anglais... Le ménage (laver par terre) est fait si vous êtes présent. Dans le cas contraire, les tâches de café renversées resteront le temps de votre séjour. Attention à l'arnaque du temps dépassé de votre séjour. J'explique : une journée d’hôtel se finit à 14h et comme personne ne vous le précise, on vous réclame 800 bats pour 20 mn dépassées et là on parle parfaitement Anglais... mis à par ça bon séjour.
