the first room then took us too
the first room then took us too was damp and mouldy, when we complained they then took us to a room more suitable.. Staff are veru friendly .. how ever the hotel is more 3/4* very basic room. and small tv.. no dvd or music... No tooth brushes and no internet in room. wireless is the most expensive i have ever encounterd..It seems that all they wnat to do is charge you excessive amounts for a very average service

Stayed at the Indigo Pearl for a long weekend, This resort well deserves its reputation as being the number one Hotel in Phuket (may be Asia) in terms of its luxury, grandiosity, features and impeccable service. the room was stunning, unique design, decoration, art, luxuriousness, opulence. the pearl bed suite had great pool and garden views. The staff members were professional, friendly, warm always looking to go above and beyond for guests. The Pear Bed Suite was a total delight, large comfortable bed with down comforter and crisp clean sheets. huge, design bathroom with unique amenities, shower, 2 sink … a true delight. The Pearl Suite overlooked the exotic environment and the terrace featured an extra large bathtub - highly recommended. During our stay we sampled most of the restaurants; all of them excellent, Rivet grill had great dishes and the black ginger has the best Thai food i have tasted. Overall I truly loved the Indigo Pearl, whether the impeccable customer service, the opulent feel of the hotel, the magnificent beach. I would dearly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience Phuket at its best.

All US currency stolen from room
Indigo Pearl was my last stop on my two week trip to Thailand. I booked this hotel because of very good reviews and also because couple people that reviewed the hotel traveled alone...The hotel is nice and the decor unusual, the food is delicious, however, that said within the first 36 hours (I was there for a 3 night stay) all my US currency was stolen from my room. I reported it immediately to the management and they said that they would investigate. The next 24 hours I had to chase down three different managers because no one was telling me what was happening with the "investigation". The first manager told me he would come in the next day to talk to me (he never did), the second manager told me that I probably misplaced the money, and third one told me that they found nothing and that they talked to the stuff but they said that they did not do it. The manager told me that this is difficult for the hotel. It is hard for me to see how it compares to all my money and feeling of safety being stolen. They had to go through my luggage to take the money it was hidden deep inside. Then he told me to send my friends there for vacation. I am not sure what a hotel should do in this case, but a simple apology and perhaps asking if I had enough cash to get me to the airport would have been nice. I would not recommend this hotel because I do not believe that the management would be very helpful if something more serious were to happen and it is important that a 5 star hotel actually cares what happened to their guest at the hand of their staff. I did not feel safe there or respected as a guest. I travel a lot and there are many resorts that would treat an incident like this with a lot more care and treat a guest as a victim of a crime not someone that is making it up.
