- Saboey is located in Koh Samui, in the Gulf of Thailand. Situated in the North-East of the island on Bangrak Beach, a 4km crescent of white sand and azure waters, the resort is conveniently located close to the airport, 5 minutes away from Fisherman's Village/Bophut, a laid-back village with a good selection of restaurants and bars and only 10-15 minutes away from the busy tourist centre of Chaweng.

The Saboey Resort & Villas Samui
The Saboey Resort & Villas Samui has a nice and cosy setup. It's a narrow strip of land squeezed between the island's main road and the beach. The hotel is in VERY close proximity of the airport's flight corridor and it gets pretty noisy at times. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. However, the Saboey is cleary lacking professional hands-on management and maintenance to justify it's rather high price. The pool was pretty dirty with rubbish and leaves at its bottom for days. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and / or a place which offers value for money then the answer is simple. DON'T! The sum of the numerous "bagatelle issues" you encounter add up and downgrade your time there substantially. At bit more care and attending to the essentials would help to improve the quality a lot at next to no cost. Cleaning up the narrow strip of beach in the back of the hotel once in a while would be nice too. That's why people usually book a hotel along the beach. Right!?
