Kacha Resort and Spa

We were staying on hillside. The room was good. Cleanliness in hotel overall was good. Swimming pools were kept tidy. Internet in hotel was very poor and most of the times did not work at all. Hillside reception staff was extremely unprofessional. When we arrived, tap in the bathroom was leaking on the floor, it was very dangerous as it made tiles very slippy. Reported this to reception every day, eventually after 4 days they sent real plumber and the problem was solved. At the end of our holiday, we wanted to book a transfer from hotel to Trat airport, the manageress at reception requested to provide her our previous flight's boarding passes (obviously, we threw them out as they were no longer needed). When she found out that we do not have them, she refused to help us out and told us to go somewhere else, despite that we provided her flight tickets. So after this we went to Bangkok Airways office and transfer was arranged in 3 minutes. The day before our check out we went to reception to find out how much will it cost us to stay extra 3 hours in the room. Staff member said it will cost us 200 BHT an hour. When we came next day to pay that money, we found out that price jumped up to 300 BHT an hour. So instead of 3 hours, we took only 2. Phone did not work in our room. Reported to reception, they said that they are aware of it and that's it- nothing will be changed.

The resort had everything you needed and was close to all the shops and features of Koh Chang. All the staff spoke English, and the service was fabulous. We received two free bottles of water each day and the buffet breakfast was ample and fabulous. Our room was on the hillside. To be honest, you probably want to stay on the beach side, but it was just a walk across the road to the beach so it didn't set us back too much. The rooms were clean (though not serviced until late afternoon). The hotel is situated in the middle of a busy strip. This did not mean we incurred any noise whatsoever (and we were on the ground floor), but it did mean that we had shops and massages on our doorstep, which made things even better! All in all, a decent hotel.

Great staff and really close to the beach although our room was significantly smaller and not as nice as our traveling companions, who payed the same price. Luck of the draw I guess. They were not too organized on our check out date either telling me that we were scheduled to stay an extra night then we actually booked for. Otherwise everything was good.

Very nice and well-mainained hotel in the middle of the White beach. The new wing (behind the road) looks more impressive but I am afraid it might be noisy.

Aamiainen hyvä. huone iso ja siisti. (Superior bungalow). Kaksi allas aluetta joissa molemmissa baari ja toinen ihan rannalla. Sijainti ei voisi olla parempi. Wi-fi ei kovin hyvin toiminut huoneessa mutta ei kukaan niin väittänytkään.

What I like : Excellent hotel, well placed and close to the beach. Clean room and friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. 2 large swimming pools with all commodities for children. What I dislike : Hotel should improve Wi-Fi connection as it is very unreliable and only provided to certain area of the hotel.
