Good stay.

Rooms and hallways could use some updating as they are starting to look old. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Close walk to the Night Bazar, which was nice. Bar entertainment was lame as it is not a place that attracts many people, hence the lack of party atmosphere. Definitely worth the price.

Good accomodation, good location!

We, a group of 9 friends stayed in this hotel on 3-Sep-13, only one night and last accommodation throughout our 5D4N CM trip. During the reservation, I wanted to make the request for double bed for all rooms but I did not find any remarks column to put down my request. Therefore during checked in, I tried to request for it, however, only 2 rooms out of 4 with double bed, the rest with twin bed. Before that, the staff keep asking did we make any reservation, and try to verify the date and channel the booking were made. This was worrying me at first. Although the bed configuration was little disappointed for the couples, but overall were happy staying here. The bed is comfy, room is clean, breakfast was great. One of my friend's room had little smell, but that's all right. It is very close to Night bazaar, massage centre, Mc Donald, Starbucks, Subway, Haagen Daze, just 50-100M away! Perfect location!

Good Place to Stay

This is a good hotel near the night market. The amenities are adequate but not great. For the money, it is a good buy.

lovely clean hotel

Rooms a decent size with windows that open partially. A big comfortable bed, and tea&coffee making facility in rooms. TV reception & shower not brilliant. Has 2 clean pools, a small gym, and the breakfast buffet is excellent-worth paying a little extra for. Prices in the minibar, and in the 3 restaurants are very reasonable.

Wi-Fi is expensive. Better to walk to the café just over the road, where it costs just 10bahts for 15 minutes, and that"s using the computers provided !

Lovely Oasis in Northern Thailand

Do yourself a favour and stay at this wonderful hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. It has everything you might need whether you are a couple or a family. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, peaceful and very clean. Hotel is perfectly located close by the Night Bazaar, has great swimming pools, and a tasty foyer cafe, plus a sumptuous buffet breakfast. Overall the hotel is quite luxurious but without the tariff others charge. Wish we could have stayed for a week. I stayed at the same Imperial Hotel 18 years ago but I'd swear it was a new hotel.

Use local transport providers and not a hotel bus to get around as the hotel price for transport and tours can be a bit excessive (albeit the buses are nice).

Good location, wonderful breakfast, clean room

The room was not large, but it was clean, tidy and pleasant. Very comfortable king-size bed and a great shower, big cubicle and plenty of water pressure. It's an older style hotel with old style rooms, but very acceptable for a few days. Staff were friendly. Very convenient to downtown markets and sight-seeing. Great pool and some gardens for walking around. A truely wonderful breakfast, probably the best and most diverse I have had anywhere, ever. Lots of choice, western and Asian, all plentiful and fresh. You wont need any lunch. Yes, I would stay again.

Don't skip the breakfast, it's fantastic, wide choice and plentiful, you wont need any lunch. The food options extend out of the dining room to an area outside serving your choice of eggs, fresh coffee, thai breakfast snacks and others.

Good enough

The hotel is situated in the city center near outside city moat, near Le Meridian hotel. There are two swimming pools, several restaurants, a travel desk (where we bought a full day trip to Chiang Rai for 2,500 THB for two including a nice lunch), a Beer Garden with live music performance of 70's hits (Beatles etc.). Major city wats (temples) could be reached on foot. If you walk about a 100 meters to the opposit direction I.e from the city you will find a nice German restaurant.

Centrally located, comfortable

Good travel service, helpful bell desk and a reception that could do with a few more smiling faces ! The deluxe rooms were comfortable though the bathrooms could urgently do with a make over. Amenities were good and the breakfast buffet quite sumptious. Good value for money !

4 star hotel as advertised

Good hotel one street from the Night Markets. Old town within walking distance - about 15 minutes. Breakfast has mixed of Eastern and Western food with reasonable variety. Restaurant food prices were reasonable as were generally in Chiangmai. Will be happy to stay again
