Dining

Jasmine Chinese Restaurant
Located on the Mezzanine Floor and with seating for 150 people, Jasmine serves fine Cantonese cuisine along with other regional Chinese specialities. Dcor is modern with engraved glass screens and a light colour scheme to provide a feeling of space, and there is a long window to let in plenty of natural light. Chiang Mai's Chinese heritage is very much in evidence in the cuisine provided here, and Jasmine is a favourite venue for local people in addition to visitors. Dim sum lunches are highly popular here. Private rooms are available.
Garden Cafe Restaurant
Located on the ground floor of the hotel and with seating for 100 people, Garden Caf is a bright, light and Contemporary Thai restaurant that is open all day. The white walls and red tiled floor combine to make this a particularly attractive venue both during daytime and at night, with Garden Caf open from 6am to midnight. The menu has a range of regional Thai dishes along with Asian favourites and a European selection. The full a la carte is available throughout the day, and there is buffet also available for breakfast.
Lobby Bar
The Lobby Bar, located to the side of the hotel Lobby with its white marble and Lanna-era decorative style, is a cool and tranquil spot to relax with a drink and a snack, and to meet up with friends.

In the thick of the Night Bazaar

The hotel was comfortable and my self and the friends with whom I was staying benefited rom an upgrade perhaps due to the standard rooms all being occupied. Chiang Mai seems a very popular destination at what is the end of the best season to travel to N Thailand; (many budget hotels were booked out last weekend); and this was my third stay at different hotels and guesthouses in the City over a week with some nights spent in Pai; and definitely the best Hotel I have stayed at in the N Thailand region. Could be more competitive with breakfast and dinner set menus as a suggestion for minor improvements.

Night Bazaar Escape

We loved staying at the Royal Princess. Right in the heart of the action, we had plenty of dining, shopping and tour options footsteps away yet once we entered the lobby we were immediately away from all of the action. The amenities were nice, the staff very helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. We had a great stay and you can't beat the value.

Perfect location

We had a great time here. Right in the heart of the night bazaar it provided a great retreat away from the chaos outside of the hotel. Walking distance to most any in Chiang Mai or a cheap ride away. The staff helped us arrange our excursions and made some great recommendations.

Two restaurants to check out. The Whole Earth has great food in a beautiful setting and Just Khao Soi takes a classic Chiang Mai dish and puts an elegant spin on it.

Comfortable centrally located hotel

Wonderful staff. Breakfast is relatively expensive for Thailand but well worth it.

Right at the centre of the action

We were only there for 3 nights, didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but it was perfect for accessing daytime excursions/activities and enjoying the vibrant nightlife.

DOES NOT HAVE AN AIRPORT SHUTTLE

This western style high rise is clean and modern, with a great location directly across the street from the night bazaar. We however, booked because they advertise an airport shuttle. On arrival at the airport we were told to take a taxi because the shuttle only runs TO the airport. When it was time to go back to the airport we were told the shuttle does not actually go to the airport it goes to a shopping mall.

Really beautiful oasis in the heart

THEY SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH! This was a well managed hotel, very clean, great service, staff been with hotel for many years. . . close to D2 and half the price! Very quiet and lots of tourist families and couples. . . night bazar right outside! EASY airport transfers. . . The PATAK Elephant Farm is the #1 LIFE changing event! like National Geographic day and a 3 hour ride in the mountains on an ELEPHANT! and good trainers. . . the best so don't get sidetracked with other to touristy elephant tours. Also - you MUST to the" SIAM Rice Thai Cookery "CLASS! SO excellent /thai cooking class!! Take your family - a very nice city and easy to get around - lots of English speaking so not difficult at all to vacation! SKIP BANGKOK !! Stay with Chaing Mai.

Don't select another vendor - you want well managed elephants . . Do this with your partner or family!! #2 - "SIAM RICE THAI COOKING Class !
